What are you talking about? Voidwalker is useful in the VoG.

If I have to choose between taking a Sunsinger or a voidwalker to the hard mode, I'm gonna drop the Voidwalker on his ass and take the Sunsinger Self Revive (and inf self revive)>the AoE burst

VoG on normal i'll go Voidwalker and VoG on hard of course i'll go with Sunsinger because of the self-revive.

Sunsinger is the obvious VOG choice though for revive. Especially on hard mode because there are no reviving your teammates.
