[Upcoming Patch] No One Will Take Inexperienced Players Into The VoG Now.
*NOTE: this post is in regards to the upcoming patch that will cause any 3 random people to be teleported during the Atheon fight, regardless of location.*

I can see it now,
*3 players get teleported*
"Ok who will take the relic?"
"Uh, I'm not great with it"
"____ You should take it"
"Ok then I will take it."
*2 Oracles have already spawned*
*Minotaur is Half way up the stairs*
*blind by third oracle waiting for cleanse cool down*
Or better yet
LFG for VoG Have To Be Experienced With Relic, No Inexperienced Players. No Players below ____ Level. Must have 300 damage weapons, must be _____ subclass.
EDIT: This post is not about me, I'm speaking for the potential new players that will try the raid.

The only thing about the patch that aggrevates me is that I had a solid raid team. Could run hard mode in an hour or two, we all knew what we were doing, everything was perfect. Well I've done the hard raid 6 times now, still no helmet... that team has since gotten bored of the game and stopped playing. I've gone on the forums gotten together with a bunch of random teams, but only ever got lucky enough to get a solid team once through the forum, every other time is just the same 3 dumb asses dying at the first confluxes. So now I'm left with doing it with essentially randomns. And im the one who usually gets teleported cuz I know what to do whether it be the shield or oracles. So yeah. ... probably not getting my helmet any time soon.

not taking credit away from your point, couldn't agree more. it's definitely gonna make me less likely to take some members.. http://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/73856953/0/0 with that being said, all raiders and new raiders are welcome to add me and my friend, we're always around to lend a hand. regardless of what bungie does with the raid and the patches, everyone deserves a chance to do it. remember, we were all dead for an unspecified amount of time together ;]

The random teleport "fix" seems very unpopular, and I can see why. First off, pulling together a raid team is hard enough (why no matchmaking?). Second, the random teleport messes up whatever roles you have set for team members. For vault gear, you pretty much have to pick whether you want bonuses against oracles or praetorians before you start the final boss fight. Not knowing who will pick up relics and who will defend the plate messes up strategy and teamwork. This seems consistent with Bugie's efforts to make the raid as inaccessible as possible.

It is time consuming and very irritating. Now lets go to hard. If you are not a titan or a warlock, lvl 29+ and have experienced, gtfo cause it is annoying wiping none stop cause someone can't hold their ground. Hunters are the most useless in vog hard.

If you don't have a 300 dmg primary by now u probably lack the focus to raid.....

I joined in a random VoG run with a friend and I figured this out on my own. the fact that when I shot the giant glowing cubes in the air and I saw numbers gave it away. people would complain if they were replaced with giant dart boards.

3 AntwortenI agree, I think it's already like that now. It's like job hunting. Everyone wants people with experience, but no one is willing to give you the chance to get that experience. I thought Bungie said when this first came out that you would have to have a team and work together and everyone would have their own roles...my role is to defend the plate while others are getting the relic, now I could suddenly have to shoot the oracles or get the relic. How can you plan a proper strategy when you have no idea if where you'll be each time?

I do not see why everyone is making a big deal out of it. The inside is not hard on normal anyway. Once someone has used the relic once or twice no big deal. If you are going through the first time, it is supposed to be hard. If you know it is going to happen, it can be planned for in advance. I've only finished it 3 times, but I've defended out, used the relic, and killed oracles. None are really any harder than the other to me. The relic might be the easiest thing to do.

I AM THE RELIC MAN. There is no Raid that I have done where I don't hold the relic. Am a level 30 guy willing to take inexperienced level 25 and up players. I will teach you every noot and crany PSN on PS4: IPROCombat2, anyone is invited boys and girls.

Yeah I agree. I've yet to actually finish the raid as of yet but have gotten a raid chest piece and a few ok things so I'm not complaining. I really want to beat it for that shader but I find even using this forum that randomly getting matched to a group of 6 can only get u so far. In fact after last nights attempt at atheon and after about mmmmm 12-25 restarts we decided it was not going to happen. I don't mind it so much but what gets me is that when the reset stats show I'm always the guy who has 30 kills while everyone else has 2. I know a few will have low kills but wtf. At this point I can say I think if match making is going to happen then there should be some standards set for that. Min Lvl min weapons and has prob beaten the nightfall. I feel like those are some good starts.

7 Antwortensure :) i didnt try it yet but i want to. Why i didnt try it? because i made the mistake first time i found a group for vod to say that im a girl. Why i did that? Only because i didnt want to hear bad language from them over the mic. And i got booted...lol. Seccond time i found a group they asked if i did vod and said no and botted again.

Yeah they should have matchmaking then. I mean new player can join like after watching some video on YouTube to get some ideas.
