Which is absolutely bogus. Why even bother trying? Just hold down right stick until the 12 minutes have passed.
I'm perfectly OK with random rewards with equal probability. However, the winning team should have the chance of getting extras. Like, if you lose you will only get green, or green and blue.
If you win, the possibility of purple or yellow exists. Or, at the very least, you get extra XP, and the top player on the winning team gets a guaranteed engram of random color. Give incentive to be great...is that so hard to ask for?

We dont need try hards hogging the loot. Hell, with the amount of lag the game isnt fair. What you are asking for is selfish, a bit. Why do you feel you should be rewarded extra?
-
Lag? Dat latency doe. I've only experienced lag once, every other time I've felt a smooth multiplayer experience.
-
Lol, i had a friend with awful internet whom caused lag for all involved whether it be pvp or pve.

You didn't actually answer his question.

Not at all. If you just reward the best people, they get all the loot even when they don't need it, New players and everyone else gets nothing and now huge swaths of don't want to play because they'll simply lose constantly. This helps everyone get a chance. First off raid gear is better, so the time frame you even need the loot is limited. Second, what about when you get what you want? Going to quit crucible so others can be on top and get it too or you going to just keep kicking their ass, getting loot, and throwing it away? conversely should bungie let a select group of people be able to farm dozens of shards and energy a day because players can simply be awesome at one aspect of a team game and can do good at PvP? You think a pvper should get more loot in a few hours if they are good than an entire raid team working together gets per week from the vault? How is that even remotely fair or on par? People mod, cheat, or go of and do their own thing all the time in pvp for games like call of duty and rewards them. This avoids a lot of incentive for that as well and that's above and beyond the great job relating rewards to teamwork rather than John Rambo. It's absurd to think good pvpers deserve an outrageous loot advantage over non because they can rig the rules to get an advantage This wasn't designed to be much of a solo game. Lastly, with how rare it is to get a legendary anyway, I really doubt we are going to get a lot of players just standing and being active. They are better off just running a strike. The odds are way to low.
