Private matches ruin the quality in what way? Please....
-
What I was saying was that to many features could dilute the quality. I was basically saying more features wouldn't automatically make it a good game.

Ok cool, but a lot of people are acting like no private matches is a minor issue. It's more than a minor issue, it's a BASIC BASIC BASIC feature that is in 99% of multiplayer shooters. The fact that a game with this big of budget and development time doesn't have it is a joke. Their whole "oh if you want to play another clan you'll have to leave it up to RANDOM matchmaking." Like really that's their response?

Yeah, but this multiplayer shooter isn't just focused on the force on force aspect of the multiplayer. There is actually a focus on the co-op and story longevity this time around as well, which is why somethings are a little different this time around. I don't think there ever will be a private match section because that isn't the type of game this is. Did yo notice that last generation a lot of games fell into a trap where they were trying too hard to appeal to everyone and ended up pleasing no one, or was just mediocre. Ever heard the saying, "Jack of all trades, master of none?" Let this game have it's own identity and not try to get the developers to turn it into something that has been done before, simply because you think certain features are needed to make it work. Are you sure, has anyone tried it yet? Why should they add features just because everyone else has done it, has that insured that those 99% of multiplayer shooters succeeded? If not then why add it because someone else did. Bungie doesn't seem to be the type of developer that just follows that crowd, and I welcome the change.

You have very closed minded thinking. PvE is great I hope it has a ton of features. That has nothing to do with private matches in PvP. You're against a feature that many want, and that doesn't negatively impact anyone's experience. You just don't play PvP, or you barely do, so it's not an important feature to you. That doesn't mean it isn't an important feature to a lot of players. The fact that you're against it is nothing else but ignorant and dumb, and frankly I no longer care to hear your responses.

I'm not close minded in any way. In fact I'm open minded to the possibly that this game can be good without certain industry established features. I never said I was against anything. We've already established that these features don't automatically make a good game so what's the harm in trying it out a different way, and maybe patching it in later if necessary. I'd also like to point out that I never resorted to calling you names, name calling doesn't make your argument carry anymore weight.

Yeah it can be good, but not having private matches doesn't make it unique, it just means it's lacking a basic staple feature of video games. There's no positives to not having private matches, and private matches have no negative impact on the game. The fact that people defend the fact that there are no private matches just make them seem heavily biased. I want to be able to play goof off matches with friends, be able to hold practice matches with friends, and be able to set up clan battles in an easy and efficient way. The whole if you want to have clan battles you have to leave it to "random matchmaking and hope for the best" just doesn't cut it in today's day and age. I could play private matches in shooters in the 90's I would hope that in 2014 it would be a standard.

its not that hes saying private matches ruin quality he saying that fewer features doesnt mean the game will flop base it on its direct quality not its quantity
