Destiny is amazing but imagine it with space combat...
Now we all now that destiny is an amazing game in it's own right. I dropped at least 30 hours on the beta and not for a second was I disappointed with how the beta turned out however I can only imagine how much more unique space combat would make destiny. Granted destiny is already unique however space combat would make destiny so much more immersive and enjoyable. Imagine customizing your ship's weapons and armor systems then taking your portable deathship for a spin either in a competitive multiplayer match or simply outside earths atmosphere to repel enemy invasions or simply to scavenge for supplies. Or they could make space combat like battlefront where you could engage in dog fights or board enemy cruisers and duke it out fps style. The amount of diversity and the additional amount of gameplay would permanently solidify destiny's place in history even more significantly than it will be already. Destiny could really use additional gameplay modes to enhance replayability and the overall quality of the game. I hope bungie utilizes their dedicated programming team in the future to make Destiny a game worth twice the amount of hype already afforded to it.
Edit: Please dont take this request for space combat as a demand. In no way do i wish to sound like i am demanding that bungie adds space combat. Bungie has clearly stated that destiny is an fps above all else. Space combat would be a really interesting feature to add sometime in the future but the manpower and as well as funding that would be required to add further content to the game would be astronomical, especially if they tried to implement space combat. Maybe theyll add it in the future and maybe they wont. Either way destiny will be a superb game worth every penny put in to develope it.

4 Antworten[i]Seen this topic on the forums a few times and I'll say the same thing here as I've said elsewhere:[/i] Consider this; Destiny is a Triple-A title with hundreds of millions of dollars expected to be spent on it over the span of it's proposed 10-year lifespan. Now you want to add, what is in essence, another FULL Triple-A space combat sim to Destiny? Because you want to keep the 1080p HD Graphics right? You want all parts of the game to be just as beautiful right? You wouldn't want one area of the game to be so abysmally poor that these forums fill up with fans crying and moaning about how bad [b]THIS [/b]part of the game is and they should never have done it and mummy why did they ruin the game?!?! Is that what you really want? So think about it realistically; Bungie would have to hire a second development team or another studio to create and implement a fully-featured space sim into Destiny, an already "finished" product that is less than 40 days from launch...can you honestly see this happening? Because how would a space combat sim even work in Destiny? You in your little ship, flying along, would it be a rail shooter like SWTOR or an open-space free roam combat arena flight sim? How would you define borders of such an arena without having invisible walls which Destiny does not use? Because you're talking about designing a completely new game from the ground up, from concept art to development meetings to drawing board to programming stage, etc...and then there's Alpha Phases and Beta phases...sure it wouldn't be as big as Destiny itself, but it'd still take upwards of a couple of years to develop it right? So can I see it happening? No, not really. Would it be cool? Well sure, if it was done right. Would I like to see it implemented in Destiny 2? Hell, why not?
