Extend the Beta
The beta is awesome and all but why does it end so soon? It only lasts 8 days on PlayStation and it's even shorter on Xbox. I was expecting it would go on into August or even until the game comes out. I just feel like the last 44 days until the game releases will feel so empty. There will be nothing to do and Destiny kind of makes all other games feel obselete. I had so much fun playing the alpha that everything else became boring... i believe the beta should be extended.

2 AntwortenThis is not a Beta. It is a combination server stress test and marketing ploy demo. Bungie doesn't need as much time with the Xbox servers since bungie pretty much built Xbox Live for MS. The backbone of Live is built off of the work Bungie put into the online for Halo 2.

3 AntwortenThe H3 beta lasted a month. The Reach beta lasted 2 weeks. The Destiny beta lasts a week, max. So we can therefore conclude that the Destiny 2 beta will last a day.

the battlefield hardline beta was extended by a week so you never know it might get extended it would be good if they extended it a few days for xbox owners just to calm them down.

4 AntwortenI agree. I feel like the Beta should go on a little longer because, as you said, it just feels too short. Like giving somebody expresso for a week straight then cutting them off abruptly till next month. Although, by the end of the month there would be a month or so left till release. And if I was in their position I would want to take that last month to polish up an last minute things while the servers would be down. And I'm jealous you got to play the Alpha lol

You are 100% right the beta is not going to last long enough.2 to 3 weeks would be much more reasonable and would help the franchise grow because more people can actually become legend instead of reading it on a screen.

Honestly I don't understand how this even counts as a beta test. How can you test a game when the beta is only 8 days long? Then again they could be testing the servers for launch.

Would be cool if they would, but at least we got a beta in the first place.

It's a beta, not a demo. It only needs to be as long as they need it to be.
