It seems like the team at Bungie is prepared to support it and for me such news is greatly welcome. The last game I invested serious time and money into had a '10-year plan' as well and barely made it past two. Their game was ambitious too, unfortunately they did not have the pedigree of Bungie, nor the clout of a leading industry publisher. So I am somewhat confident in this enterprise. It is unfortunate the reek of fanboyism has to plague the months leading up to release. I own both a PS4 and XB1 and while I am getting Destiny for the PS4 it is due to the many friends I have on that platform, not some arbitrary bonus content I doubt I will notice or remember in the course of playing the game for countless hours. I wish gamers could ignore the deals that happen between publishers and hardware manufacturers. Over the long term, they are insignificant and rarely effect ones enjoyment of the game. I suspect Destiny will provide so much content that a mere mission is not something most will miss. These deals are all about business and marketing and unfortunately are becoming the more the rule and less the exception. My advice...don't let it be the deciding factor in enjoying a quality game. Over the course of a console's life-cycle, you are going to win some, lose some or more often than not it will be a draw. B**ching or bragging about it, depending on which side you fall on does little to nothing. So don't fall into the trap. Yes....IT'S A TRAP!! ;)

Bearbeitet von CaptiveFire: 6/29/2014 6:05:55 PMi going to be honest i wasn't on b.net when b.net was mostly a xbox forum until i heard about destiny last year. when i first got on here there was some form of peace here but now its worse then ever cause of exclusives and console wars. im trying not to sound whiny and fussy but all there is here is cursing and hate mail about every post. seriously have we become animals? im being realistic but there will never be total peace between xbox and ps but we might as well live with each other cause neither of us are going away. im not trying to you guys agree with me but at least think about what i have said. lets be as peaceful as possible. OK?

3 AntwortenOk, I find it SO stupid that people are now saying that Destiny will not be a good game because of its T for Teen rating. Destiny will still be the same game it was, but it just won't have blood and explicit language. It just irritates me SO much that because Destiny is not an M rated game, that people all of the sudden aren't going to by it now.

21 AntwortenI used to look at Bungie and think of a sort of "gaming family", so to speak. Now I look at Bungie and see just another company interested in sales and money. It could be that whilst making Halo, their 'Community First' spin was just so good that I, and many others, simply couldn't see through it, but it sure as hell felt a lot better to be a part of the 7C back then - no Playstation fanboys trolling long-time fans in the forums/ comments, no bullshit company speak, and the community-company interactions most definitely didn't feel cold to the metaphorical touch. Whereas most trusted companies are -- within the boundaries of practicality -- giving loyal fans what they ask (ironically, The MCC comes to mind), Bungie, the once most respected company as far as community relations went, have seen to making themselves the antithesis of what they once were. Destiny looks amazing, and I will be pre-ordering the collector's edition upon announcement, but the current Bungie is not the same as the old Bungie...and that makes me kind of sad.

6 AntwortenI am very conflicted as to whether or not I should pre-order Destiny in order to secure a spot in the Beta. I played the Alpha (and had a great time), but didn't really feel as though anything was spoiled. I fear that the Destiny Beta will showcase a majority of the game before it's release, and when it comes to launch day I'll have already played through a large chunk of the content ahead of time. If I dedicate a good amount of time to the Beta, will I be less enthused about spending long hours with the final build?

Actually, if there isn't any kind special editions, i will very likely just cancel after beta and get it digital, FK THAT LINE UP SHIT!. Would they give me my $40 that was some sort of special deal when trading in CoD: Ghost(i traded that back like 2 days after its release, CoD has spent all its chances with me).

7 AntwortenIt's been established that activision/bungie would like for people to play on sony platforms. With the limited edition console, alpha, exclusives and early beta access, that's cool, do what you guys do. I play on the one though, what's the hold up on the exact beta date for the Microsoft consoles? It's hurting you guys on a business standpoint your not pushing people to go to playstation by not releasing it, you are just pushing people away from the game. Just one little annoyance after another when it comes to announcing things on xbox platforms for this game. Why? I hope it's not because of some childish grudge because of some past "falling out," no one cares about. People would just like the game. And the explanation it's a "privilege" to even be playing this game or you should be thankful we're even making the game for xbox platforms heard from fans and developers of this game alike is a joke. The "privilege"is all mine I payed money for it- beta and game alike.
