2 minor things I hope are added: A weapon hot swap function, and universal ammo for each type. I felt like a lot of the weapons were situational, so I carried multiple primaries, secondaries, and heavies. If I wanted to swap between them, had to go into the menu and swap them. At the wrong time, this can get you killed. A hot swap could fix that. Which brings me to my second point. I didn't like how when you swapped secondary or heavy weapons, your weapon count went down to 0. I feel that if the ammo was universal, and the system calculated each weapons ammo count by type, it would make the game that much better. Other games have employed similar mechanics. Overall, though, I feel like these are minor gripes, and alpha made me extremely excited for Destiny.

Everything you're commenting on is that way by design. Both having to go through the menu, and losing ammo when switching special and heavy weapons, are to deter you from switching weapons in the heat of battle. You're supposed to think tactfully, two steps ahead, always. Bungie wants you to plan your loadout to the situation, and stick with it. Having every weapon you own instantaneously available to you would be too much. Think in advance Guardian. Be strong, but also smart.

I see your point, and I understand where your coming from. I respectfully disagree with you, however. Tactical thinking can be influenced in many ways without penalizing the player. My tactic, for instance, is that I want to be prepared for various situations with choice. I do respect your point of view though, Hierarch.

And I respect yours, Ninja. I absolutely understand what you mean. I'm just explaining how Bungie made their game. I know not everyone likes it (though personally I do), but this is the game that Bungie had always wanted to make, with the mechanics they see for to survive, and thrive, in the world of their imaginations. If they want us to decide our weapons before battle, then I say we do so. It's more realistic, anyhow (I understand this game isn't all about realism, obviously, but in this regard it makes sense).

Quite honestly Hierarch, if they don't change this aspect, I still will be very satisfied with the game as long as the world is expansive, the stories are solid, and the pvp is fun. I actually had to look hard for any criticism. But, if my criticism helps the game rather than hurts it, I don't see the harm in saying something. I always hold out my final judgement for the "final product" (knowing full well that even the product shipped will never technically final.)
