I played a male Exo Titan for about half my time in the Alpha and while i was rewatching some footage i noticed when my Exo stood still the gun he was holding was moving up and down like my Exo was breathing? Maybe this great attention to detail, was just a blanket action done for all models no matter what race we picked. But i would hope in the final version the Exo ( unless they have lungs now ) when the Exo are standing still, do not waver as if they are breathing. Just dose not seem right, since they are synthetics and not built with organs in the first place. But maybe with the new energy and or soul our Ghost put into our Exo, when the Exo we play as was found by said Ghost, there might be more to the true inner workings of them. We shall see.
Edit: June 23.
I am happy to see some real thought being put into these replys. And its also nice to see all the great ideas, Facts and "what ifs" my fellow Guardians have about the Exo. Thanks for all the great replys so far.

1 AntwortenI feel like the exo is a human soul that the traveler saved and put into a machine so they could love on and fight the darkness. Memory's were wiped yes, but the traveler was most likely pressed for time and did it as one of its last acts at full power so couldn't get rid of the instinct to breath, flinch, etc. Not sure if any info out there that makes this irrelevant but I haven't come across any and didn't see it in the comments I read. As of right now this is where I stand on the exo

1 AntwortenGood eye

1 AntwortenBit of a stretch, but what energy do they use for fuel? Perhaps they need to extract hydrogen from the air...or nitrogen or CO2 for example.
-
3 AntwortenExos are self aware so maybe they're making believe to breathe so they fit in.
-
Idk think about zombies in movies or skeletons they don't breath or have lungs necessarily but they still waver standing still
-
3 AntwortenIt is confirmed!!! The Exo's are related to General Grievous...LOL
-
4 AntwortenSo I just noticed something odd: Does anyone remember Millenium Man?

4 AntwortenSynthetic doesn't necessarily imply that something is a machine. A human Guardian for example.

Bearbeitet von TheWowso: 6/29/2014 3:47:34 AMHave you guys never watched Battlestar Galactica? Those "robots" were pretty advanced and realistic. Who's to say that Exo's aren't like that?

3 AntwortenBearbeitet von SnypaX77: 6/23/2014 7:06:01 AMWell, since they were originally created by humans one can assume that when they gained consciousness, due to that progamming sub-routine most likely created by humans for a different purpose, they may have inherited a more human mindset, combine that with the moving parts within their bodies and they may be simply simulating breathing as that is what they learned living things do. It seems the Exo are looking to be apart of humanity so they assumed that, logically, they should try to imitate human behaviors in order to meld into the society more easily. Idk, just spit balling late at night.

1 AntwortenNot sure about the breathing, but there needs to be a Balance. A bullet either has to be moving pretty slowly or be of extremely high caliber to have the impact move a person, flinching from pain aside. I'm assuming Exo's will also flinch while getting shot, despite a lack of the ability to feel pain, I'm sure.

You know they could be electrical based using servos and the like why assume that they have a fluid based system? this would eliminate any extra movement that was not put forth by the operating system.
-
Artificial pneumatic fuel system. Aka robot heart. Your logic is now retarded.
-
1 AntwortenNice eye man
-
1 AntwortenIt's could be due to the power system running the exo that has the same distributive function as the vascular system in humans. Pneumatics/hydraulics or whatever is the source that creates movement requires a fluctuation of some type

5 AntwortenAmazing eye, hopefully this can be fixed for immersion

2 AntwortenBearbeitet von Harkiel: 6/23/2014 11:33:03 AMJust remember it is an earlier build of the game. The Beta will probably come close to the complete or very near complete version. It is released so close to launch that there really won't be much time to fix everything.

12 AntwortenMaybe it is battle damage that occurred while fighting, when one of the Fallen got in a lucky shot? 1 check your Exo Titans fluid level? ( see owners manual for fluid levels tolerances ) 2 have you ran a full diagnostics on your Exo Titan? (Someone in the tower may be able to help you with that) 3 when is the last time that you brought your Exo Titan in for service? WarriorVyktor Can I offer you are extended warranty program for Exo. A 3 years or 5000 battles warranty whichever comes first. Free roadside assistance. for $550 Glimmer is a small price for peace of mind. And if you act now will throw in FREE a travel bag. *(Warranty program does NOT cover the following battles with Fallen who rank are ???). TWCFTM

1 AntwortenBearbeitet von EvilWaterman: 6/23/2014 11:02:25 PMIt really is great to see all these ideas and more importantly, a civil conversation for the first time ever on the interwebs! Anyway, my theory pretty much goes with some of the other chaps here, it's prob got some kind of moving system in there to keep it going rather like and engine but instead of an electronic module control it it has the awakened's mind controlling it.

1 AntwortenMaybe whoever designed them programmed this to be similar to us and feel more alive. Maybe they designed synthetic lungs or some type of core breathing mechanism that keeps the energy charged. That's why they need to wear armor like humans.

3 AntwortenDid you unplug it and plug it back in

4 Antworten1st world problems

24 AntwortenExos are cyborgs not androids if that sheds light on the topic.
-
1 AntwortenWhat if exos are dying life forms that have been placed in to machinery by the traveler?! Like general grevious!
-
1 AntwortenA car engine doesn't have organs but it sure as shit has moving parts. Maybe it is an alternator coil to power the internal battery or something.
-
6 AntwortenSince the exos are a race... And can die.. They're likely some part organic... Other wise you wouldn't have to bring them back to life.... Just swap parts
