Practically my only disappointment is what appears to be Bungie's lack of actual customizable faces, instead using presets.
From the couple screenshots, you could see that the setup for choosing your face would be like choosing your race/gender, meaning you're forced to select from pre-made faces.
I myself am surprised by this and find it rather disappointing with all the customization hype built around the game.
Having a customizable face at the very least means that you could choose a set of eyebrows, eyes, a nose, a mouth, and distinct facial hair, rather than using a pre-made face.
I don't doubt that Destiny will be an 11/10 game, but that was kinda sad to see, and frankly, they could've done it with their tech that they displayed at GDC.
Keep this thread alive, and maybe the Bungie devs that roam around will see it and implement it in their next installment.
Which way do you like to select faces? Make a choice on the poll.

That's usually how you start customizing a face. You start out with a preset and work it out from their.

I really like the character creation in Skyrim. Hopefully it will be somewhere along those lines.

we still dont know the extent of the facial customization. we shouldnt judge it for the very few screenshots weve seen

I have never heard this. I heard that there were pre sets that they were using for GDC. But I never remember them saying we use pre sets.

Premade is fine, so long as there is enough variety. Also I wanna look like a cute asian chick. So. Let's hope that works out.

What if it's like gmod face poser
I don't know if that's good or bad
7 AntwortenFrom what i've seen and read, those presets are baselines for further customization, and not just a list of options that can't be customized. Bungie has been putting a huge emphasis on how much everything can be customized to not have this as an option, so I wouldn't worry about it.

3 AntwortenI think we do get to customise our faces, Deej said something about not being able to take off you're helmet at all would be a shame after how they'd developed a customisation thing. I assumed he meant facial customisation.

We haven't seen all of the choices. How do you know we only have presets? We've only seen the race selection so far.

We don't know enough about this yet we've seen one screen no more.
