When I think back to the things that made Halo my favourite francise, the music was the first that comes to mind. And when I think of Bungie, the name Marty O' Donnell is what I associate the company with. This man made me into a fan of Halo, of Bungie. Not just for his legendary scores, but also the man. He had everything I thought bungie stood for, and that he would be there untill the end. Apparently the Bungie I thought of is dead. Because Bungie would not fire anyone just for unkown reasons. A company should only fire someone when he or she is underperforming, and Marty has only produced better and better work, with scores that have defined the memories of Bungie's games. If Marty would have left on his own account I would have had peace with it. I would have been sad to see him go, but atleast it would have been his descision, and I can live with that. But this is outragious. This makes me sad and mad. This is not how you treat a man that has build one of the largest francises of gaming to date. Even if it is about money. Even then. Destiny would have been my game of the year. My reason to buy an Xbox One. I can't believe I have conviced my friends to pre-order this game, because of the awesome company that is behind it. This makes me really sick. I still believe that Bungie is full of amazing people, don't get me wrong. But there are just a few sour apples that had to be the ones to make descisions like this. It makes me sad, really sad. Instead of wishing Marty good luck, I wish it to Bungie, because this might aswell be the beginning of the end for them.
