What do you guys think of the Gearbox / Telltale collaboration?

36 AntwortenIt'll work fine. TellTale are great developers. Not every game has to be [i]'shooty shooty action explosion' [/i]you know. They did a [i]great[/i] job with The Walking Dead and The Wolf Among Us.

As long as you go into the game knowing the only similarities it has to borderlands is that it's set in the universe and some of the characters are in the game.Dont expect it to me a sequel or a prequel

Borderlands is just too... humorous (?) to seem like this would work. Borderlands thrives on ridiculous characters and mindless fun. I just can't imagine becoming emotionally invested in a Borderlands adventure game (not that adventure games are suppose to be serious, that's just how I like my adventure games). For what it is worth, I think the Game of Thrones game will work really well.

The narrative of Borderlands has been horrible so there's no solid foundation for Telltale to build from.

I mean, Borderlands is at its best when its humor is at the forefront. I actually think the shooting mechanics in borderlands are really lackluster, but the satirical bite that they approach the universe with is spectacular. So, I think pairing the universe with Telltale is a no-brainer. It'll actually probably be better at doing Borderlands than Gearbox imo. I wonder if Anthony Burch is working with Telltale on the project to help move characters along in a way that fits with whatever is planned for Borderlands 3.
