Sony has announced that 2.1 million PS4s have been sold globally.
Sony Computer Entertainment boss Andrew House revealed the figure, and reiterated some of the other milestones the console has passed in individual territories.
As we previously reported, House explained Sony's latest console sold a million units in 24 hours following its North American launch on November 15. After the console's release in the UK on November 29, the PS4 became the country's fastest-selling console ever, shifting 250,000 units in 48 hours.
Quite the accomplishment, don't you think? And it hasn't even launched in all territories...
All I want now is the sales figures for Xbox One. But which console do you believe will end up selling more globally? And why?

PS4. Because its a gaming device. XB1 will drop the media shit in 2 years tops once it falls farther behind.

3 AntwortenHow much was the Wii doing at its launch in 2006?
-
7 AntwortenProbably Ps4, because it's popular to be on the Microsoft hate train nowadays.
-
Ps4 will, more powerful, less expensive, and better brand images around the world than Microsoft
-
3 AntwortenNot bad, Sony. Now, lets concentrate on getting some more games out the door ;) Soooo looking forward to PS2 and Infamous Second Son.

1 AntwortenI'm happy that i'm one of the 2.1 Million. GG

1 AntwortenIt's sad that in less than a month it almost sold as many systems as what the Wii U has sold in a year.

12 AntwortenBearbeitet von Logfish111: 12/3/2013 4:45:31 PMPS4 will sell more because it's cheaper and people think it is better for some reason.

23 AntwortenThe PS4 will sell more because of Japan. Hardly anyone will buy an Xbox there.
-
1 AntwortenEh, that's ok. I don't think the Xbox did any better since it costs more but we should check after Christmas, the sales would be double for sure for both Xbox and PS
-
Just wait until it's released in Japan.

1 AntwortenCrazy numbers. They've eclipsed the total sales figures of the Wii U in the UK. Hopefully it spurs MS to compete more, but I just kind of feel bad for Nintendo.
-
4 AntwortenGood for them. I hope the XB1 does well too. Step your game up, Ninty.

18 AntwortenThe PS4 will probably sell more globally because a ton of people still think that the Xbox One has DRM. Sony was smart in banking on people's ignorance.
-
So the PS4's been out less than a month, and it already has over half the total unit sales of the Wii U... Someone's getting fired at the Big N. I think the PS4 and X1 are going to be neck and neck for a while. The PS4 will take the lead when it launches in Japan though.

5 AntwortenXbox One has been released in 13 countries and sold 1.2 million consoles on launch week PS4 has been released in 32 countries and sold 2.1 million consoles which is over 3 weeks No official numbers have been released for xbox one, but the Xbox is right up there with the PS4 especially when it releases for 32 countries as well next year. Just saying though that you can sell consoles as fast as you want but the same about 160 million people who bought a ps3 or xbox 360 last generation will buy a xbox one or ps4 this generation. There is a cap to the gaming market and it has not grown since last generation and if anything has shrunk. So sales right now will be exponential if anything. Also I thought it was interesting that the previous fastest selling console in the UK was the PSP, which sucked compared to any other console released recently besides the Vita so I don't know why that was the fastest selling.

7 AntwortenPS4 will ALWAYS sell more globally, because of Japan. They don't buy Xbox's at all.
