Hello Legion of Guardians!
I was giving the mailsack of my dreams another read through, when I got to the question about which games the Bungie team was most excited for I decided to dissect it a little.
-The first response mentions Infamous and killzone (both Sony exclusives).
-The second and third explicitly mention the PS4.
-Now the next couple could go either way, the fourth response talks about just dance(not dance central which could indicate a lean towards PS4) and watch dogs which is multi platform.
-The fifth response could go either way as well but seems to lean closer to Sonys court, the response says that he is an indie nut and said he can't wait to see what surprises independents have for launch, Sony showed more support for indies so this could be a PS4 response.
-The sixth response says Kingdom Hearts 3 and Final Fantasy, these are both multi platform games, but they are both traditionally Sony based games as far as consoles go (kingdom hearts was Sony exclusive until 3 I believe) again this could indicate a lean towards PS4, but I'm not sure.
-Response seven and eight mention battlefield 4, watch dogs and the division, so no real indicators there.
-Response nine says pikmin, Infamous second son and Knack. Both second son and Knack are Sony exclusives so it's safe to say PS4 on this one.
-Response ten just says Infamous second son so PS4 here as well.
Now this is only TEN people from the team so keep that in mind, but also keep in mind that these are the ten DeeJ chose to put in the sack.
Another interesting this to note is that. It a single Microsoft exclusive game was mentioned... What does this all mean?
Based on this what do you all think?
English
#Destiny

3 AntwortenBungie is acting childish. They obviously don't care about fans because they are butt hurt by Microsoft and are taking it out on xbox gamers. Sorry, it's just a lousy thing to do to fans. In the end they are the same as every other money hungry corporate pig game company. Great game awful company.
-
Yes they are. And Bungie said "If you want the BEST experience from Destiny you will get it on a PS4."
-
1 AntwortenI think you are drawing conclusions from nothing.... It was 10 people Jesus don't overreact
-
It means you must have way too much time on your hands to actually give a shit.
-
I think Bungie is just interested in letting the world know they are not an exclusive to MS any longer.
-
I think activision has something to do with it. They own cod as well as help produce and publish destiny, it makes sense that they'd promote cod on xbox and destiny on ps as a way for them to avoid competing against each other (if that makes sense)
-
I think Microsoft just doesn't have as many games as Sony right now
-
1 AntwortenIt's not favouring as much as appealing. They haven't made a playstation game in a such a long time that they want to appeal to people on that platform. They don't have to try as hard for Xbox gamers because they already have their support.
-
5 AntwortenThey're not favoring Sony per say. Bungie has never created a Playstation game before, they're trying to appeal to that audience. Xbox gamers already support Bungie 100%.
-
2 Antwortenall right , who's the asshole who dredged this crap up again ?
-
They favor us. Because they love us and care deeply about how we squander the precious free time we have.
-
i was thinking the same thing. all of the hands on showcases of the game have been on the PS4. i really dont mind them favoring the PS4 since im getting one but everything wasnt so good when they left mircrosoft. or maybe the PS4 is just has more to offer right now, thats why more people were talking about it than the xbox. i have also heard multiple third party developers say that the ps4 is a lot easier to work with than the xbox one.
-
At the time everyone was hating on Xbox so bungie went with Sony to reveal. Plus they want to show Sony what kind of game destiny is. They want to appeal to Sony gamers alongside Xbox gamers. Xbox already knows what to expect from bungie while Sony is just getting a new taste of everything.
-
Bungie only favors one group, the world.
-
2 AntwortenBungie is just warming up their new community, Xbox fans know what to expect from Bungie and know that their games are great, while playstationers don't have a clue, so Bungie is making sure they get a good first impression.
-
ITT: People looking to far into this shit.
-
I don't think they are favouriting anyone. Its just because bungie have never made a game for PlayStation before so its an entirely new audience and bungie really need to let the new audience know how amazing they are. I just hope the exclusive content for ps4 isn't too big because that would be unfair.

YES AND I'M SO MAD BCUZ I CANTS HAZ GAYSTATION RECONZZzzzz

Bearbeitet von mist: 8/13/2013 8:25:34 PMGreatness Awaits. Bones One Day One Edition on the One TV, One Day we'll get all the money our coffers can hold, yeah that's why Sony is totally winning this console war.
-
What the individual employees say in the mailsack isn't indicative of the outlook of Bungie has a company. The company itself is showing no favoritism. What the employees think Microsoft and Sony are solely their opinions.
-
I really don't think so, its just now they are getting a chance to expand to a platform some of them obviously use, its gotta be exciting for them.
-
Or maybe those guys that responded have been playing Playstation for years! Sure they made some Xbox exclusives, but did you xbox fans really think all they played was Xbox? Lulz
-
Maybe they just like what they've seen. I know I like what the PS4 has to offer but honestly after E3 I forgot half of what is exclusive to each console. I'm getting Xbox One for its main features, and for multiplatform games. My friends are going with Xbox as well so I'm not gonna ditch them. However I am still planning on getting a PS4 as soon as I can after my Xbox so I can have access to great indie and free to play support as well as great exclusives I've always seen from Sony. I imagine the exclusive content on Playstation was a play by Activision. Since they already have an arrangement for getting content on Xbox first for CoD so to me it only makes sense Destiny would be geared towards the other half of their multiplatform market.

2 Antwortentry searching the forum there have been over 6 posts about this with over 15 replies ... not mad bro lol it might be that bungie is favoring sony and why wont they not only that sony is becoming more and more for the consumers and MS focusing more on profits, they have not yet tapped the PS gamer market. listed possible reasons below. 1. sony asked feedback from gamers and devs about what they expect, want and need from the new Gen PS console which clearly shows how much they value the feedback of their consumers 2. it was said by some devs that it might be better to develop games on PS4 than xbox 3. bungie has been wtih xbox for so long they already have a strong fan base on xbox made more clearer when a lot of halo fans expressed their disappointment that bungie was no longer developing halo and because of this bungie would like to tap the PS gamer market 4. in relation with reason #3, a lot of xbox gamers are moving to PS4 5. maybe they still hold some grudge with MS 6. MS is -blam!-ed up with their policies, their executives and the general direction they are taking xbox with the above mentioned probable reasons favoring PS gamers or sony is a win win for them

2 AntwortenCORRECTION: Forza was mentioned! So an Xbox exclusive was mentioned my bad. And to be clear im not taking sides here I'm just curious because this portion of the mail sack cought my attention.
