12 AntwortenHomosexuality is entirely "natural", but it's also defect. I wouldn't say that homosexuality is a handicap, but it's absolutely counter-productive in any living being's most basic function (i.e. reproduction). Does this mean they're lesser in any way shape or form? Of course not. But what I'm saying is that homosexuality isn't something that's supposed to be prevalent in society -- it's a defect. Now, we're absolutely not going to frown upon homosexuals, as it's not their choice. However, when you argue that they're publicity be more beneficial than carrying guns, I'd whole-heartily disagree with you. First off, a law abiding citizen carrying a firearm is a right. It's a right guaranteed by the Constitution to ensure all other rights. To say that such a thing is a "sad reflection on our society" is essentially disapproving of the basis of our country. If you disagree with it, then so be it. But your opinion isn't going to hold much clout. Secondly, a law abiding citizen carrying a firearm is typically doing so for the safety of both themselves and others. A law abiding citizen isn't going to hurt anyone with their weapon(s), hence the name "law abiding citizen", so who does this negatively affect? Furthermore, if you'd make the argument that a criminal citizen could use said weapons and laws for bad, you could also make the argument that the looser gun laws don't actually help the criminal at all. After all, they're already willing to break one law (i.e. using their weapon for malice), so why wouldn't they conceal carry if it was illegal? In conclusion, you're making a poorly-substantiated argument when you say that homosexuality should be more accepted than guns. The only reason why the latter is so prevalent is because of crime and the potential for a tyrannous government. If that's what you were pointing at, then I'd agree: Homosexuality should be more accepted than crime. But guns, per se, are not "worse" than homosexuality.

23 AntwortenSorry, but seeing two guys holding hands makes me uncomfortable. I think being gay is strange and unnatural. That being said, I still think they should be able to get married because I am not allowed to force my beliefs on anyone else. It is not real freedom if you have to change your views to obtain it. Also, holding guns where? If I saw two men on the street holding guns in public then I would be much more uncomfortable than seeing two guys holding hands... But if they are concealed carrying, or hunting, or at a gun range then yeah, I am all for that. That is the most essential right to preserve our freedom.

Unfair comparison.

What about two gay guys holding guns? Do they just cancel each other out?
-
At the end of the day, all of this is just a collection of opinions. My two cents worth: To each his/her own; I don't care about Homosexuality and all the rest of the stuff that goes with it- what individuals do in their own time with their own life is their business, not mine, and so long as it does not effect me, I don't give two shits.

4 AntwortenMoral of story. Don't have a different opinion then everybody else.

I don't think that's a sad reflection. Just a regular reflection. It's not a happy reflection either, just a regular reflection.

Who needs guns for home defense? There are all the legalization issues, the 600 dollar hand gun, stuff to maintain it, and training with it. My solution: have a can of hairspray in a couple different rooms and carry a lighter. Point spray click afterwards have roast beef.
-
Yeah I'm down with both, actually saw a gay couple at the range the other day.
-
I'm comfortable with both.
-
1 AntwortenProbably because two men holding hands means there's at least one man unable to hold anything.

Bearbeitet von Gaara444: 7/20/2013 4:19:36 AM>Comparing guns to gays. Are you -blam!-ing kidding me? Sorry, but you're damn right I'm more comfortable seeing guns over homosexuality. It's not that I'm a Homophobe, it's that when two people carry guns, it's about protection something I myself take into my life. When I see two guys holding hands, it's about something I don't give two shits about or want to be involved with. So get off my ass and stop whining over nothing.

Guns are great. They let me kill people without feeling anything.

Why people hate homosexuals if normal people are the ones that breed them?

This is the smartest post you've ever made.
