I'm not sure if it's the shocking change to everything or what but I don't like the new hotness. It seems very...amoeba like, no structure to it, no forum categories. bungie, WHAT HAVE YOU DONE!??
See like just now I had to go back and edit my post because I didn't add any stupid tags to it. Come on bungie this isn't twitter!
Ok so after tinkering around with it and getting over the initial shock of new b.net I can see the benifits of this change and how the flow of information and sharing (Socialization?). I really like being able to embed images and gifs.

I might be missing something here, but I wish there was an easy way to click on your own profile and 'view posts' so I can easily go back to my posts instead of letting them get lost in the pages.

Why is this tagged "Flood" and "offtopic"?
-
9 AntwortenNo, this definitely isn't twitter. It's a socially-propelled company forum that focuses on community interaction as opposed to formal discussion. The previous Bungie.net was geared specifically for (usually) intense discussions and debates; the New Hawtness is centered around ease of communication on a variety of levels. Notifications? It's about time! Name changes? Thank God. Creating a kickass topic that everyone will see if I take my time with it and receive a lot of upvotes? There's not a single thing wrong with that. The 'wrong forum' issue is completely eradicated? Well, that takes care of that problem. Bungie.net has evolved. It will get better with time (this is only the beta, after all), but even in its current state, it's a hell of a step up from the clunky, restrictive website that we had before.

You know what, I miss my title...
-
1 AntwortenAt least this is still in beta, improvement is likely. But hashtags? Really? I dont even... -blam!-! They arent going away are they?
-
It allows us to make a topic and attract more people to socialize with, easier. However, there is no general structure there to begin with. :\
-
This is bollocks. Not only is this site full of bellends but it now looks like shit too. Oh well, 5 years of positng here was probably enough anyway.

Bearbeitet von Ason Unique: 1/11/2013 9:27:31 AMThis new layout sucks and they've managed to make BNet look like every BS website out there. After nearly six years here I think it's time to stop posting. -blam!-ing hashtags and linking shit to facebook. Shame on you Bungie. EDIT - The profanity filter doesn't even work properly either.
-
Bungie.net is not a social network. Sorry, but it isn't, and if you wanted one, then go to facebook or twitter or google+. Bungie.net was a forum, a MESSAGE BOARD: not the comment section of youtube. They have wrecked that, almost irredeemably.
You spelled benefits wrong.
This is definitely going take some getting used. I second a tutorial video for this new layout.
-
I'm not going to lie. I absolutely hate this new layout, and I may stop using Bnet because of it.

1 AntwortenBearbeitet von General Dripik: 1/10/2013 5:36:11 PMI'm not gonna lie this isn't what I was hoping it would be. Maybe its because I've visited this site for like 4 years but now it just seems more like a typical social network then a gaming forum which is odd because it seemed like the general consensus was that every one was against that. I do like that I can mute people and add people though.

3 AntwortenNo more title bars, and I just got Mythic too....
-
It's growing on me I must admit
-
This change is about as bad as Facebook timeline and the new Youtube layout... wtf Bungie...
-
2 AntwortenGetting rid of the Flood forum , I no longer have a reason to remain.
-
I'd prefer a darker background, but overall the new update is pretty cool.
-
This actually reminds me of reddit in a way.
-
1 AntwortenI just don't like the color. I prefer the dark background as opposed to the white.
-
1 AntwortenWhere's teh flood?!
-
1 AntwortenWhat is this? where am I? forum boards? coup? what happened?! I'm not going to judge this new layout yet, but I will give it a chance first. I do miss different boards though...
-
23 AntwortenIt'll take some getting used to, peeps, but check this out. By tagging your thread with #Community and #Flood, you've essentially widened the audience to a broader range than what would've been reached on Bungie.old.

You know something's wrong when the craptastic Waypoint Forums suddenly look better than your own. Ah screw it, I'll just leave till this gets fixed and go to Nationstates.
