You guys are so needy.
1. Vault space requires space on servers, and bungie already has swiss cheese servers. It can’t handle anything else.
2. There’s only 831 weapons in collections. There’s no reason for you to have 1000 vault space.
3. Stop holding on to every tiny little piece of loot you get. If something in your vault isn’t worth masterworking, delete it.
4. Delete outdated weapons. With a few exceptions, almost every weapon without an origin trait should be deleted. Craftable weapons, adept weapons, and weapons with origin traits are worth keeping. But if you’re still holding on to a sunset wardens or a old Dust Rock, you need to get rid of it. There’s just no point in keeping them. And if you want to hold on to it for sentimental value, then don’t pin it on Bungie, it’s one or the other. You either free up vault space, or you don’t. It’s that simple.

It’s that simple.[/quote] This entire post is completely false. 1. Vault space costs Bungie nothing. A space in a vault is simple a pointer to objects and assets stored in Destiny servers. Stop forwarding false information. Vault space limiting is a design decision. 2. 831 weapons and how many pieces of armor? We have to store that crap with our weapons too. 3. There are lots of reasons to hold onto multiple copies of a weapon. Now, with masterworking I’m hoarding up to five copies of weapons so that I can hopefully convert them one day into patterns if I don’t get the rng I need to obtain the patterns. 4. Outdated weapons - oh you mean those raid weapons I obtained? Triajs weapons? Stop changing the meta and I won’t need to hold onto them. Are these Bungie employees flooding these forums? Why would anyone who plays this game be opposed to more vault space?

Seriously dude..every season, it's at LEAST 4-5 new exotics created, ALONG with new Weapons added to the pool. Combine that with the fact that this game has been out for YEARS? Yes, some type of increase is validated. Don't blame Bungie, you say? They are literally responsible for this. Literally. Between sunsetting and reintroduction of weapons back into the pool? Yes, let's just take the blame! I feel this is a pointless argument though. You will have people defend the vault space vigorously.

Sure there might only be 831 weapons in collections, but there multiple roles of each weapon. This means there is a God roll for pvp and pve and then there are fun roles and perk people personally like. So people have multiple roles.

Yeah bungie sunset like half of those, and the ones that are left include whites, blues, and greens. In addition to that, with the amount of stuff bungie adds, almost everything that’s older than pre-WQ is power crept (crafting, better rolls). I.e. Mindbenders with Found Verdict, Retold with Matador, Adored with Beloved. Only about (rough estimation) 25% of the weapons in collection are non-sunset, up-to-date weapons.

This is false my kindled orchid with rampage and kill clip and drop mag will always be kept because it will always feel good to get 2 taps with and we will never ever get that roll on a 140 again.

Why would you use Orchid when Hawkmoon exists? Hawkmoon has better stats, feels better, only requires one kill (not even a kill tbh just headshots), and it can be held infinitely?

Because orchid is a void weapon and it can synergize with void builds and I can run kinetic special weapons.

That’s a mid HC the duration for how long you can 2 tap is so small it literally won’t matter And with no consistency perks and it’s mid stats 20 other 140s will outclass it base

I don't care about anything u stated. U sound like ur a sweaty meta abuser. I play this game to have fun and this hand cannon not only feels good to play with it can two tap. You should sit and look at this game and realize there is no reason to think about it in a competitive nature and u will have more fun. I believe everyone should look at this game as more of a party game then a competitive game and let bungo run wild with the balance.

What's the big deal in increasing vault space whether you need it or not? How detrimental do you think it can be or if it even will affect your current Destiny 2 experience. What I don't understand is what is big problem that people have with it that don't need it. I don't get it. What I collect shouldn't matter to you. It's the fact that more vault space would be appreciated, needed or not.

What is the problem you might ask? Well perhaps if it were thousands of players vaults it needed to load because some hoarder decided that 1000 wasn't enough either. On top of that, that console load time isn't going to help either. Appreciated sure, but again. If you have basic knowledge on what you use and don't use (Which is quite easy, you only have 9 slots in reserve on your character) you can decide what perhaps you will use the most, what will be used once in a while and what never will be used. I never thought we needed bungie to hold our hand with this 😪
