What happened to this subclass? The first of the darkness subclasses and it seems to have just been forgotten. It seems like they decided balancing it was too hard so we'll just ignore it? It's such a cool class but seems to be far behind every other subclass in the game.
I understand that some people make it work, and that's cool, but the majority of people just don't use it because of how situational it is. I love the aesthetic of the class, the sounds, and feel but if another subclass can do it better, why use stasis?
What bothers me is that they cannot seem to separate pve and pvp balancing. If they could separate the two, they could nerf the class to the ground in pvp for all I care, but make it rewarding and fun to use in pve.

Renewal Grasps are all the way back in PvE, finally. Been having a lot of fun with those.
-
Go back in time and don’t drop stasis - do something else instead. It was -blam!- getting frozen and shitterdived in PvP, getting frozen just ain’t fun in pvp. It also trivialised a lot of PvE too.

Bungie is buffing/reworking it next season.

I think silence and squall on hunters needs some kind of less oppressive in pvp but more useful rework of some kind. I don't think any pvp player would mind if at first most things were more balanced with pve in mind and then they just have to get used to the game working right with that stuff in most pvp matches at first. That's kind of what the game is supposed to be and you'd be surprised what you can do with the right gun when the game lets you.

3 AntwortenI don’t understand where all this “Stasis bad!” Sentiment has come from. Is it just because they haven’t done anything with it in a while? That doesn’t make it bad. Renewal Grasps got un-nerfed and are great. There’s also a Hunter build with Radiant Dance Machines that’s insane.

15 AntwortenHopefully the upcoming buffs will help it in pve but it has been sad to see it lose all viability. It used to be a reasonable option for GMs and raids but now it’s just so outclassed by strand.

No, just no.

2 AntwortenAfter the last TWID I think that was Bungie saying they’ve launched a stasis strike team. Based on the time frame I doubt we’ll get any new aspects, supers, melees, or grenades but hopefully will get an overhaul of existing fragments and aspects and abilities. I would like a new verb but highly doubt that we’ll get one.

Reading hard?

Stasis Hunter is in a good place, but Stasis Warlocks and Titans are seriously lacking in PVP
Wait, was this a PVE post? Oh well
4 AntwortenThese type of posts make my laugh. There is nothing wrong with stasis. Just cause it's not the best nor the broken mess (was fun as hell, by the way) it was when it first dropped, doesn't mean something is wrong with it. It's just not the go to for any and everything, which is good. It means bungie brought the other subclasses up to its level, giving us options. But it still can be used in everything from high level pve to patrols to pvp. It's cool though, we know bungie is going to do things to it in season 23. And when they do, I'm going to just laugh at all the 'stasis is op, buff the other subclasses' type posts like I laugh at these lol.

Next season

The last paragraph in this novel says it all. Bungie is so dense that they can't balance weapons and classes separately in pve and pvp like in literally every other videogame in existence
-
5 AntwortenThe TWID about Crota mentions that some stasis changes are coming and even artifact mods for stasis. Looks like Bungie actually saw the trending posts about Stasis being nejectled cause they way they talked about it, it was clear they were replying to the community rather than randomly bringing Stasis up on their own.

1 AntwortenI honestly just feel bungie refuses to touch stasis because its the biggest cancer in pvp. How does anyone literally balance something that stops players from completely playing a game? Stasis is and will always be a cancerous subclass. I rather bungie overhauls their philosophy of freezing enemies and instead focus more on creating crystals that deal a ton of damage with a bit of slow. Just basically remove the freeze entirely but buff the heck out of crystals to compensate. Shatter dive would need to be looked at though because I don’t want that thing coming back ever again in pvp.

3 AntwortenThey released stasis overly strong that it dominated PvP being able to freeze anyone even in super. After some times they said they knew stasis needs some nerf before release and yet they didn't balance it and now stasis needs buff from getting nerfed? I doubt it will be buffed when they sell another broken subclass so people will buy it
-
The rime nerf to me made zero sense, they already didn't give you that much overshield and 9 times out of 10 you're using it for health.
-
6 Antwortensure, lets go back to the subclass that allows you to pause other peoples game im going to assume you ppl didnt play during Beyond Light or want to abuse broken ice magic again, and if thats teh case, I want my Luna's back then
-
10 AntwortenHere is Bungies business model: Release something that is paid for content that is absolutely broken so people have no choice but to buy it. 6 months later Nerf it into the ground so hard it’s basically worthless so people are on the lookout for the next thing. Repeat

3 AntwortenStasis because of what it is and how they designed it will either be the best or worst sadly. There was a lot of extremely poor and jarring design decisions that quite frankly do not line up with how Destiny operates from a gameplay perspective. Stasis is going to need a rework fundamentally if it wants to truly cement itself in the arsenal and perview of players going forward and not just some thing we used because we had to. Honestly I'm gonna say the same for Strand as well though its not quite as big an offender of this and has a lot more room to easily bring it to the right spot as well. It would also help if both had one more super for everyone, just saying-

Sure I guess it can be made to work, but then you don't get to play with picking stuff up and charging yourself and reducing cooldowns etc.

2 AntwortenWho’s excited to wait 88 days for stasis improvements?

1 AntwortenI'd like to see buffs to all gaudians in stasis, breathe new life in to it , pve only
