I really think it needs to go the way of match game. This shouldn’t be a modifier on the normal version of an activity. I think it should just be retired as a whole because it’s just an unnecessary debilitating handicap. It’s not fun to go sit in a corner for near 30 seconds waiting for your health to come back a bunch of times in an activity. Especially not in a timed activity. It’s just plain not fun and has kind of ruined the first week of the season for me.
Edit: “run solar” isn’t a solution because it completely goes against the whole “play your way” thing. If a modifier creates an environment that’s SO rigid that there’s only one way to counter it, it’s obviously a bad modifier.

This week is keep feet planted or die lol

2 AntwortenHave you tried build crafting? There's plenty of ways to negate Attrition.
-
5 AntwortenAren’t you always trashing on people for being trash? This should be no problem for a god like yourself

I hate attrition. Worst modifier ever.

Bearbeitet von MattyMcFly: 8/28/2023 1:56:35 AMI agree but to a extent. There is no need for that modifier to be in a matchmaking activity. Matchmaking activities should be able to be completed by all and be able to complete with out getting angry to the point you have to go to a hospital due to your blood pressure skyrocketing into can kill you territory. I have major anger issues and blood pressure issues that run in the family… I understand that end game content is harder and for some that like a challenge but content that has matchmaking should not be so difficult to complete. Make all the end game content with frustrating and annoying modifiers to have NO matchmaking so it makes you go out to find people that want a challenge like yourself. This is a seasonal activity ffs no need for it to be that hard

22 AntwortenSpot on. This is the most asinine thing we could have. It absolutely needs to disappear completely. Games aren't supposed to be about "How can we make it so hard only a handful can complete it?" they're supposed to be about fun and a great, less stressful experience because most of us play to kind of let go for awhile. Handicaps, to me are just poor, miserable decisions from miserable people, and have no place in gaming at all unless they are CHOSEN by the player themself.
-
It depends on where its used. Summoning? Its so bad, bro shriekers, boomers, moth witches, etc? Its overkill to the -blam!- extreme. It needs to go.

3 AntwortenHonestly, I think attrition is fine as a modifier. It’s not even purely negative if you slay out, since you can far exceed your base recovery healing by picking up the lights
-
Making players miserable is becoming more and more of a Bungle core competency, and fun is going out the window as they continually put in more chicken***t ways to gimp us. I think I've said "Eff you Bungo" to myself more already this season than in half of the last one. And that one wasn't great.

4 Antwortenas i said on another post, attrition is manageable.... and togetherness is much worse
-
-
Take it out of the game .
-
I agree it is trash. It was alot more manageable with 3 arc resistance mods. And I run well
-
Attrition is a bad modifier. I am a solar Titan so I have other ways to regenerate health. But they should take Attrition out.
-
I find grounded to be far worse and I don't understand why it wasn't removed years ago
-
Well. Then kill ads and pick up the fonts. I love that mode, my recov is usually pretty low, so I can aggro push in and kill a bunch of ads, then insta heal with their fonts.
-
I didn't have too much of a problem with it, you kill a bunch of stuff and pick up the fonts or use your own healing methods. Seems doable. With that said, when I first went in I was thinking woah, ok its my day to get pack hunted by the frigging horde of enemies that were spawning. I'll just try to stay alive, kill a ton of adds, take the heat off the rest of the team, and surely the rest of the team (randoms) can get some shots in on the boss while I deal with the horde that seemed to gravitate to my area. Yeah, not really, they were all in the same situation dealing with their own hordes, and nobody was getting a chance to shoot the boss. They were all trapped in the same cycle of kill, heal, kill, heal, kill heal, etc.Yeah we got it done, but it made the whole encounter take way longer. Thats my biggest complaint. I'm guessing because there were hordes in every square inch of the room set on auto spawn made it a bit annoying with that attrition thing.

Bearbeitet von Ubisuccle: 8/26/2023 3:55:00 PMOoor maybe run solar with a restoration grenade? Health on orb pickup? Weapon with vanguard’s vindication? Loreley Splendor? Lumina? Crimson? Navigator? Warlock with healing rift? Banner of War + Winterbite? Like theres probably a dozen ways to cheese that modifier lol

36 AntwortenCould always just kill enemies so they drop fonts
-
6 AntwortenNo we don’t need to listen to casuals who cry about the game being too hard for them
-
Lots of healing build though
-
1 AntwortenLol can't wait for them to be like - fine!, and then to replace it with combat accelerator, if you remember that one. Nothing better than not having abilities for 5 minutes at times.

5 AntwortenBungie: "we have heard player feedback regarding attrition. We are increasing the health gained by an attrition orb to 50% immediate healing and overshield, to balance these changes only selected enemies will drop these orbs" Update.v.5e.D15b.l0.m3m3. "We have added various nee enemy types when attrition is active. -Overload Shriekers and Scorn Lurkers -Anti Barrier Screebs and Cursed Thrall -Unstoppable Threshers and Tormentors"

Kill the adds and you will never have to hide and wait until you have regained health.

1 AntwortenBearbeitet von an engram full of bees: 8/26/2023 3:51:00 AMHonestly, attrition is not a bad idea on paper. I think there just needs to be some more stable healing sources whenever it’s active (i.e. healthpacks scattered around the area Overwatch-style)
