I'd have to say, it's pretty good. Apparently it was pretty low budget, and that kinda shows, along with it being a little rough around the edges (it was Tarantino's first film), but I enjoyed it and it had incredibly strong comedy in particular.
7.5/10
Edit: Now I'm curious. Tell me your favorite Tarantino. (or movie in general if you're not a fan of his work)

Pulp Fiction Kill Bill 1 & 2 The Hateful Eight I like Reservoir Dogs, but not one of my favourites.

Try Akudama drive Apparently it was partially inspired by Reservoir Dogs

Inglorious -blam!-, though I never finished it

2 AntwortenNot a fan. He seems to have a problem with women. Also thinks that endless violence and gore is entertaining. Guess it's easier than writing something good.

1 AntwortenJackie Brown - Everyone plays the odd character in that movie 🎥 and it runs for a pretty long screen time IB - masterpiece Django - really good movie Hateful 8 Hard to pick one really they are really good and have fantastic actors

2 AntwortenI'd have to say Kill Bill (both volumes) because I grew up watching martial arts movies, although I've liked them all.

Never seen it, but I did recently watch Inglorious Basterds and that was a good movie.
The protagonists do their best to be sneaky and quiet about their skirmishing and master plan from the Allied forces. The antagonist is quite chillingly sinister and cunning, he could see everything that was happening but he lets it play out til the end. I rate Inglorious Basterds an 8.5/10.
2 AntwortenYes, it doesn’t have great 3D effects in the movie, but I tell you what it had back then that lacks what is now. Depth of characters and the ability to have simple conversations in a diner that make you feel, laugh, cry, etc. Nowadays, people just get on the phone and text each other during dates. I know I’ve witnessed it at a bar a few times and just scratched my head thinking with the lack of social interaction and social skills people are having these days. So yeah there was no crazy effects and there was some cheese moments but you have to give that there were great actors in this movie with good acting imo

4 AntwortenI score it lower; Reservoir Dogs is not nearly as revolutionary, ingenious or important as some Tarantino Twits claim it to be. The movie was largely funded and produced by Harvey Keitel (Mr. White) who was impressed with the script. All he did was watch movies; there's no substance to support his themes, no experience. He found a formula and he used it. That's not a sin but it sure as heck doesn't make you a genius, nor does it deserve the influence it created.

I have yet to see his most recent film. I don’t actually care for all the over-the-top killing scenes Tarantino is synonymous with, but Inglorious Basterds is a masterpiece.

2 AntwortenDid you watch it because of its reference in the chainsaw man intro

2 AntwortenThe whole scene about tipping was hilarious, especially Mr. Pink (Steve Buscemi). Also, every time I hear Stealer's Wheel, I picture Mr. Blonde (Michael Madsen) dancing around and singing into a severed ear, lol.
