I see no deleted characters on this account iiBlue_Blurri. You have 2, 1 warlock, and 1 Titan with 63hr and 6min playtime.
You had not played on the account since Feb 2017. Are you sure you are not confusing your Destiny 1 characters with Destiny 2? as only your character was transferred no gear.

I am 100% sure. I was on the forsaken quest line. I had the exotics thorn, the last word and Gjallhorn to name a few. The character was not deleted he was still there to choose from but once I loaded him up it took me to the first quest with all his inventory wiped clean.

You are mistaking the original Destiny with Destiny 2. Gally has only just arrived in Destiny 2 Last Word and Thorn were also from the original Destiny. As you do not have them in your collections.

I know I was transferring weapons religiously on the companion app. I just wish I had a way to prove it. There was another exotic sniper rifle I had that didn’t transfer over. I remember grinding hard for it. It was either icebreaker or Zen meteor. Could have been both.

Those are both only from D1. Never in D2.

Hello there, Only your character's appearance would transfer from Destiny 1. No items or gear are able to be transferred. Any weapons or gear that is to be used in Destiny 2 has to be obtained in Destiny 2.

Because they have done nothing in Destiny 2 that is why. You have done no Dreaming City triumphs which were part of Forsaken.
