I haven’t done too many raids or anything all that impressive. However, there is something I will always be thankful towards Bungie for because it taught me a valuable lesson I thought I already knew: video games are supposed to be fun. Going batblam crazy with transmog when it first came out was the best thing I’ve ever done. I still don’t know if this was because of my ADHD, but when it came to video games, I would always do things by a book of my own making. Yup, that’s right. I was 10 times more organized in video games as I was in real life! When clearing out an open world game, I would try to decide whether to take out all the enemy bases or get the collectibles first. If I aimed to take out all the enemy bases first, I wouldn’t grab a collectible if I saw on the way even if it was easy or convenient. This applied to fashion too. Everything, and I mean everything, had to match all the time. All armor and weapons had to have the same shader and be a part of the same set if I could help it. This was easy because I only had the ornaments that I wore. Then armor synthesis came out. There were a million new ornaments to use and nothing to do with them. I realized I was tired of my old look and had a mental breakdown that forced me to get creative and tear the book to shreds. Now I have a transmog set I made myself from 5 different armor sets and 5 different shaders that I now consider part of Centaur-1’s canon and I create a new set every time I equip an exotic armor piece. I no longer need a strict system for every video game I play and do things my way whenever I feel like it.
