As regards to PvP, it seems like there's a constant battle with trying to create an environment that's suitable for casuals and competitive players. Trials of Osiris being the main focus, there's no surprise that here's where that battle resides. Now, although i respect the effort of making adjustments to trials, it's definitely not being approached the right way and the rate at which these changes are being applied is improper. There needs to be ( Outside of the Box ) thinking which isn't occurring. Taking Trials of Osiris and infusing it with control or any other EXISTING GAME MODE doesnt make trials any more of a unique and fun experience and with many abilities being abused it seems like regardless of weather a team plays together or not there's more risk rather than reward in either scenario. My suggestion towards creating a more balanced approach to winning a trials match with the current state of the game is to apply a circular outline on the ground with a diameter of 10 meters to every individual. Have it emit a faint but noticeable green glow. If any 2 individuals on the same team are within each others circle, it would begin to pulsate a red colory and that pulse would gradually increases the longer you remain inside it. If in 10 seconds you haven't existed their circle, that circle would be a constant red and both individuals health bars would start to deplete at a rate of 10 percent per second. Once you've existed their circle, there would be a cooldown timer of 10 seconds before you could re-enter their circle and once the cooldown is complete the circle will return to a green color. If re-entered before the cooldown is complete, the penalty would automatically be applied. Remaining within 50 meters of any one of your teamates wouldn't apply any penalty overtime but exceeding that distance would make the circle around you react the same way within 10 seconds of being too distant. The penalty for remaining too distant would reduce the regeneration of all you're abilities significantly rather that depleting you're health. Once you've entered back into that 50 meter distance of any teammate, the penalty would no longer be applied and the circle would return to a green color. If there's 2 players left alive on a team, the time it would take to get the penalty for playing too close or too far would be doubled to 20 seconds and the cooldown timer for going back into your teammates circle is reduced by half, which would be 5 seconds. Being the last player alive on you're team wouldn't give you a penalty at any time. Any individual that uses a super would no longer have that circle until the super has completed. Any player on a team that remains in a healing super such as a bubble or well of radiance would no longer have that circle unless they step out of it or the super has completed. In my opinion, making a change with this concept would balance movement amongst teams and reward team effort tremendously. While at times, being too close to you're teammates is beneficial as regards to team shooting it can also be harmful and being too distant for too long could limit you're ability to support you're teammates. Hopefully this concept is considered and i hope it helps others develop ideas to further better Destiny 2. Thx 4 reading!
