I get why RNG is a thing, but for raids etc, and those of us who love raiding, i am sure itwould feel more rewarding if raid exotics were tied to triumphs or challenges etc as suppose to RNG.
Could be a welcome change.

1 AntwortenI'm very torn on this subject. On one hand, yes I love having a guaranteed source for those weapons for raids. It makes you feel rewarded for your work as opposed to relying on rng and feeling like your time invested is a joke On the other hand, when thst rng finally works in your favor, the excitement levels shoot through the roof. I'm talking actual excitement, not just "sick, I got the exotic" and move on. When I finally got my eyes of tomorrow a few weeks ago, I got excited on levels I've never felt since d1. Those freak out moments rarely happen in d2, and while it's so frustrating when things don't work out, it makes it all the better when things finally do.

maybe, but only behind a flawless triumph
-
They should all have quests so u can't get it luckily on ur first run and so u can guarantee it if u enjoy raiding
-
And they should all have catalysts.
-
Couldn’t care either way tbh, I don’t mind RNG or quest ones
-
Not an unpopular decision by any means

You know if they did it tied to a triumph they would make it like Divinity... finding a team to finish the raid is simple most any lfg post you join can usually get it done... you'll spend hours lolling for a team that can finish a Divinity run... even tho it's pretty easy.. most people cant pr dont want to or dont know how too get it done

Low change to drop flawless 100%
-
15 AntwortenI agree. RNG should be removed from raid exotics and the only way to obtain them is by completing a flawless raid triumph.
-
9 AntwortenHard agree. Low drop rates coupled with weekly drop limitations is not a good recipe IMO.
-
they did this for Divinity, and Outbreak Prime...never again. Had a bunch of idiots asking for a carry through GoS for a weapon they don't know how to use, and never having ran the raid before. Want a rare exotic - earn it...keep playing the content - no easy mode hand outs like a triumph/challenge.
-
Just make them like divinity.
-
Make it a quest that drops before raid releases and the final step is to beat the raid

Could be a welcome change.[/quote] Or, just make it a quest like Divinity, the single ONLY raid exotic in the game that has no rng involved... something that just worked, that anyone could do and be rewarded with enough effort, but obviously bungie couldn't stick to that system and went right back to their same-old rng system where percentages for certain things are different than another (chances of getting weapons higher than armor, raid exotic having lowest % rather than everything have the same flat % chance of being rewarded by rng (as anyone logically would do if they were game devs)

got my vote, makes it something to work on if you truly want it. I haven't been looking really anymore, I really enjoy DMT and roleplaying as a scout, my hunter even looks the part...yeah I am the guy that kinda just chills while everyone else is destroying everything, but hey, i might save you from the one you're not seeing.

7 AntwortenIf it's a quest like Touch of Malice or Legend of Acrius, sure. If it's like Divinity, hell no. Drop protection for the exotics would also work, though. After a certain number of clears, it should be guaranteed.
-
Honestly, the Legend of Acrius quest was probably the best path to getting a raid exotic. No cryptic bs like Outbreak Prime. Not and eons long scavenger hunt like Touch of Malice. Not a annoying chore that no one has ever had fun doing like Divinity. It was basically just: Do the raid a few times, do a special nightfall, kill some cabal. Oh, and there's an ornament for prestige mode.

81 Antwortenno your saying casuals shouldnt get raid exotics
-
Agree Exotic raid RNG need to go I raid every reset try to get exotic it’s not fun

Bearbeitet von Double07: 7/19/2021 4:35:01 AMRNG, especially layers of it, is what stops me from doing something. Warframe has cool crap you could get but it’s behind a casino lottery machine wheel of RNG. Even if you load the dice and roll multiple times, it’s still not guaranteed. RNG sucks.
-
Maybe combine it, like for every raid challange/thriumhp that you have completed the changes ox dropping the item go up. So even without the thriumps you have a small change, but with each additional one completed it increases.
-
7 AntwortenIMO it could stay random but once you do all the raid challenges it should be guaranteed to drop if you don't have it yet. Or, it could be quests like acrius, outbreak, and touch of malice
-
Triumphs might be fun but quests are stupidly boring to me at least. Quest ones had zero excitement from the start of the quest til I vaulted the gun. Rng ones had a sense of excitement every time I might have gotten it with a joyful moment when it finally happened. I literally jumped out of my chair for vex cause it took me so long. Triumphs might be more fun than quests but idk man rng while not perfect or fair they actually gave me excitement

I agree although my RNG is god tier but i feel an exotic quest would be more fun
