4 Antworteni'm the gambit and drifter lore guy so this is my specialty the nine are nine separate minds associated with different celestial bodies. they were created by dark matter, a type of dust that is only effected by gravity and it'self, every time it interacts with it's self it shoots away, eventually forming thoughts. the nine require life to be awake, if there is not life they will go back to sleep. 5 of the minds are trying to preserve the life that already exists, and the other 4 are trying to create new life, or get hold of a paracausal abilities to preserve themselves, they were the ones who prevented us from seeing the red legion approaching . as I said the nine are trying to create life, this is what xur is, but the nine also are capable of possesing life, this is what the emissary of the nine is. the nine also have a pocket dimension called the nine realms where they have a taken army thanks to the drifter drifter was gifted a entrance to the nine realms, this is where he stores his army of taken that he uses in gambit, and are seen in the reckoning and prophecy . if you have any other questions, feel free to ask
I have no gender only RAGE
<The Nine are Dark Matter loops tied to the gravitational core of Sol's largest celestial bodies that developed consciousness over time thanks to the evolution of life in Sol. Though their cores are restricted to Sol, their reach expands to the galaxy's edge. They were first mentioned in D1, where their agent, Xur, arrived in the Tower or Vestian Outpost every weekend. They also had a Grimoire Card dedicated to them, where it listed out 9 potential theories as to what the Nine were. Since Season of the Drifter, however, we find out the Nine themselves are what I said in paragraph 1. However, the Grimoire Card is still true to an extent. They have a record 9 Ghosts in their thrall, an unknown number of "Deep Orbit Minds" (in reference to Deep Orbit Warminds), and 9 Awoken are missing from the Exodus Green. There are also lifeforms on Titan, Enceladus, and Europa that grew there natural, hinting towards yet another theory being true. Finally, the Jovians. Xur is not human anymore, instead a being created after making a deal with an alien force to survive the Collapse. His and his kind were apparently created in a similar manner to the Awoken, but we don't know to what extent. Other theories include a viral language of pure meaning, which Xur confirms in dialogue in D2, the signal coming from the direction of the Corona-Borealis Supercluster, which is hinted at by the Emissary, and two more that are currently entirely unconfirmed. These two are the remnants of a transcendent shape and agents of Darkness working to destroy us from within. The Nine are rifted, as 5 of the Nine saw the Light and wished to use it to be free of their dependence on life in Sol. They hold Xur and Orin as thralls to communicate with us. They are also responsible for the Wolf Rebellion, Sjur Eido's death, and also work with Mara to some extent. We talk to them frequently. Well... "talk". The other 4 also wish to be free of their dependence on life. Unlike the 5, they hate us and openly admit it. However, they want nothing to do with us or the Light and Dark, preferring to do things their own way.>

please proceed to My Name is Byf's videos on this subject but fair warning its not a clear answer, think more of HP Lovecraft's cosmic entities type of deal

4 AntwortenThey are the planets of the Sol system. The spirits that make up the system trying to understand what is going on and what the little creatures that run over their surfaces are. To help them to communicate with us they have taken individuals or even tried to create from scratch (Xur) to help them as envoys.
