Legend Lost Sector Exotic Drop
I was running todays current Legend Lost Sector which rewards an exotic chest attempting to get the Cuirass of the Falling Star titan chest exotic. I was under the impression the if you have never gotten the Cuirass of the Falling Star to drop you were guaranteed to get it as the first exotic chest instead I got a different exotic after many runs of the lost sector called "Armamentarium".
As a side note, before getting a chest reward from completing the lost sector I looted an exotic hand cannon that was dropped from a random enemy. Could that have been responsible for causing the Falling Star chest piece to not drop as I thought it should?
Any response to disprove the theory the Falling Star is guaranteed to drop as your first exotic chest piece reward, or that this is actually a bug, is appreciated!

There is no guaranteed exotic drop in either the Legend or Master Lost Sectors. The exotic drop chances for the Beyond Light exotics is higher, but not guaranteed. So yes, you can get a non-Beyond Light exotic for your first, second, third, etc drop. However, in my experience you should receive a Beyond Light exotic within the first three exotic drops. Also, you need to own Beyond Light to get the Beyond Light exotics like Cuirass of the Falling Star. So if you don't own BL that means you'll never see it drop from one of the Lost Sectors.
