We learned in D1 how to fight shotgun users. Now you will have to learn.
STOP.. THINK.
Whst are the shotguns strengths and weaknesses.
Keep that distance....
Do not run at others.
If someone runs at you back off.
Stay away from CQB areas when you know someone is camping there (same for corrners).
All times think.. do I have space to keep the range open.
Do I have something behind me blocking me backing up as I unload against someone running at me.
Bait people out of those corners or CQB areas.
Use area affect weapons if available to flush them out.
Adapt.... Improvise... Overcome.

With all that in play in a 6v6 match, which are very good strategies and cautionaries to take I guarantee before the games over with you will have died to a shotgun at some point. For the past week I have gotten into the habit of looking at other players loadouts before the game begins 4 out of 6 are always running shotguns on the opposing team and 4 out of 6 seem to be always running shotguns on my team. Take a look at rumble. You can't go in there without some guy with a shotgun in his hand holding down w. I bring this topic up because it's a complaint I've heard from so many different players lately and I'm really curious as to what the rest of the community has to say about it. So thank you for your response. I do agree with everything you had to say.

So D1 didn't do 6v6... could have fooled me. As I said start thinking and not running in to every fight. Yes you will still die to shotguns but the number of times will drop. I have seen too many run into a cave and got killed by a shotgun... respawned and ran into same cave... respawned and run into the same cave.... again and again. Next day I saw one just like you kicking off about shotguns.
