I believe this change was made so that sitting in the tower or taking stuff repeatedly out of collections wasn't a cool way to power grind... but man, 2 months into this expansion now it just has caused more grind for everyone.
Now, every time i want to pull an exotic or anything from collections, i HAVE to use an upgrade module because no matter how high power YOU are, weapons will still do VERY decreased damage compared to the activity itself's power level.
It feels bad to use a module on something like Malfeasance because I want to switch it up to try something fun.
Sure, this together might have stopped collections and tokens from being a free power level grind, but after contest mode is over this is just hurting everyone else.
It makes pulling exotics have a notable cost, indirectly drains precious enhancement cores, glimmer, shards, resources, and also uses up vault space.
All together, this makes it more expensive to be creative and just enjoy all the fun exotics in the game, and in its current form is definitely too extreme of a measure.

1 AntwortenAll you need is 1 upgrade module and a blue drop. Can't believe this topic got any traction 🤣

3 AntwortenBearbeitet von EMUracing: 12/27/2020 4:35:55 PMThis decision makes the players need to hold all of their exotics in the vault. In theory there should be more space in the vault because of sunsetting, but with no way to get some of the classic weapons, people dont want to delete them. Honestly, a bad move by Bungie, and the power level system needs to be removed. It serves no purpose other than to distract the players from the lack of content and have them focus on a power grind. Then when they hit max power, they realize there is nothing in the game that is fun because the "purpose" of the game had be converted into power levelling rather than enjoying the content. Basically, I now use one loadout for just about everything power level enabled. Slight alterations for different champions, but not far off. Wasnt this exactly why they wanted sunsetting? But it is exactly the result of having all of the weapon variety become useless. All 3 characters I now just transfer the loadout and it never comes off until the power grind has been done on that character for the week. I now only need one more piece of gear to have all 3 at pinnacle cap... what to do then. The games purpose is gone.

That inconvenience isn’t a bug, it’s a feature.
-
Not really. It's one single infusion with common legendary drops to make them par with most light challenges.

4 AntwortenAt the very least, once you hit 1260, you should be able to pull collection gear out at 1250.
-
Once your hit max light or max pinnacle collections should drop at that level. I get why bungie did this way, since it was intended to prevent players from using collections to level up items that weren't dropping, but bungie also said they were going to make so collections items would be 20 light below your max. I'm max pinnacle light and my collection items are still 1050, which makes it frustrating when I want to pull an exotic for a high level activity like master NF.

Bearbeitet von Darth Derrr (Defiled): 12/27/2020 5:15:20 PMThey could try this new-fangled thing called logic to determine if it would help power grind or not and if not, do -20, otherwise do 1050. They didn't so I guess that means it's supposed to suck this way for whatever reason?
-
I get the whole power leveling on other characters thing but like it doesn’t even make it take anymore effort. Just use tokens and things from the season pass and then you’re 1250 with just as little effort. Honestly just an inconvenience with no impact on the game otherwise.

You want to know what's a bigger dick punch? Why is no one talking about the re-unification of Belka?

What if we introduce ”Collection Ciphers” something the cyptarch can give out like Xur once a week maybe hold only 3 at a time and you can pull from collections no harm no foul, but you can still pull without these at a steeper cost and no level increase. I get the point of the system but when it comes to let's say joining a raid team and they are like do you got the ”weapon/armor” you can say hold on do I have a cipher? Yes? Cool let me pull it real quick and we can knock this out...no? Let me finish my Cyptarch quest I need 8 more strikes....

81 AntwortenPeople were using them to game the progression system. Bungie put a stop to it.
-
2 AntwortenWhy do we even have collections if we can’t pull most of the items from? And why are we keeping all the sunset elements? The response is: work in progress. Bungie knows how to use Ctrl+c/v but they can’t use Ctrl+F and delete. Being charged with light when grabbing orbs of power is so gross. Feels like a beta mobile game.

1 AntwortenBearbeitet von Blood Craver: 12/26/2020 12:36:12 PMThis could be easily resolved by allowing weapons to be pulled from collections at current power level and leaving armor at 1050. It's only the armor that was used to power level alts anyway, the weapons are just transfered from character to character.
-
It is easier for them to have everything at 1050 as suppose to do some work to seperate sunset and old stuff, and put the newer gear at 1250 in your vault. Also... it was an exploit to my knowledge.
-
For me, the mats aren't even the problem. My problem is that I rarely have anything to infuse it with. It makes it almost impossible to use anything different on a moments notice. Its extremely annoying and inconvenient.
-
Only colection itmes shold be pazy huntiers tey gear shold be cap 1050!!!!
-
Yeah all it's done is just cause an inconvenience to everyone. If people were gaming the system why not just set it that all collection pulls are set to the power level of your lowest slot?
-
They wont fix it. Banshee level ups have taken 100 materials for 2 years now for the exact same reason, despite multiple changes to the system. Despite many asking for them to be changed back to 10. I defend bungie on a lot of things but I will always be willing to criticize their systems with loot. Consistently too stingy, or incredibly inconvenient for players.
-
I agree 100%
-
Bungie doesn't care. Inconvenience is the name of the game.
-
2 AntwortenSince they got busted for their xp throttling and w.e else they were doing to the players. They decided to do it in another way without looking like they are throttling us. Bungie is still in my opinion throttling us. They are just more sneaky about it or they doing it in a way without them looking too bad. To me with each season/dlc , I just feel like more things are being stripped from us. And giving us less in return while they are pulling crap like the collection. Besides exotics the collection is pretty much a useless feature. Oh and ghosts and shaders, but now that all ghosts are the same as long as you lvl 1 up to max there really isnt any other reason to have more than 1 or 2
-
Exotics should 100% be pulled with a base stat of 60. At 1250 cap. But bungie is lame so they don’t
-
1 AntwortenInconveniencing us is bungies forte.
-
5 AntwortenHang on. Because of the extra time we had in last season, I assume you hit max level of 1060. So if you're say, 1250 at present for example, what makes you think you should be able to pluck something from collections at your current level? To be fair, I think they should be 1060 not 1050, but it doesn't cost the earth to infuse
-
9 AntwortenAgreed...i was like why the hell are my exotics getting pulled out at 1050 instead of the old -20 standard? its really annoying. Literally has no point. I think items you pull out should be at your average level.
