Simple.
The game has issues, sure, just like every product known to mankind. Could it be better, yup. Could it be worse.. yup. IS it fun.. yup and if it is not fun, why do you continue to play it?
This post hopefully gets others to talk about what they have like, loved and spread a little bit of positivity in this cess pool of a community page where keyboard warriors (at times even myself) fall prey to group think and nobody considers the other side.
We play because we have fun. We enjoy what we are doing and sometimes we should talk about what we didn't like but, also, what we did like.
Love the supers.. seriously, a lot of fun to play and to watch. The new zones.. huge.. lots of areas to do things in. SHoot aliens with guns.. Isn't that what we do here. The story was better than usual and as of now.. Probably the best DLC for D2 IMO.
Edit. My favorite part is how so many feel the need to downvote this every time someone up votes it. Keep enjoying the game fellow guardians. If we are playing, we can't very well be monitoring a webpage can we.

10 AntwortenSorry, but in a free market society, anyone who buys a product reserves the right to complain if they dont like it. Now if they are telling you how to feel, then thats a problem. But there’s no need to tell people who are thoroughly upset to “stop complaining”. Being complacent with mediocre products is only going to create more mediocre products

1 AntwortenYou have shitty taste if you “LOVE” this dlc

2 AntwortenBearbeitet von michael: 11/19/2020 9:08:44 AMThe thing is we know how much better bungie can do. Forsaken, rise of iron, and taken king delivered incredibly more heavily at the same price point as beyond light. Looking side by side shadowkeep and beyond light looks like they should be half the price with the amount of content they have. And yes the d1 dlcs had content droughts because they delivered everything at once. But at least then people would get a solid few months of great experience out of the game, and they would be willing to come back for more for the next expansion. This new system of deliver a day or two of content every few weeks, and putting in stuff like Felwinters Lie to incentivize people to come back for these pitiful content offerings in order to not miss out on something? This drip feeding is not fun for anyone. We know Bungie can do better. They have done better. I know they are apart from activision and I know they are humans too, and it is easy for us to sit here and say that they should work harder and treat them as nothing but means to our ends. But they are not far off from being able to do this on their own; they are close, but they continue to ignore fundamental flaws that could be fixed really without adding much content if any at all. Fixing these problems could make the game what we want it to be but it's this sense of so close yet so far that makes people so disappointed with deliveries such as beyond light. All we want is for the game to be the best it can be and we all know that this is not as good as it gets from Bungie.

16 AntwortenYour all SHEEPLE This is just old content given back to you in a shiny new box. And you guys fall for it every time lol Do this new bit, then go grind old stuff you've been playing for ages Rinse and repeat. Just because we complain about cheap moves Bungie makes, doesn't mean we hate the game or have to go play something else. If Bungie aren't challenged, your next new paid content can be paper thin But you'll still throw money at the screen won't ya Grow a spine, and stop giving Bungie the green light to recycle crap and pass it off as AAA game content!

7 AntwortenFire Luke Smith, Unworthy and the SJW writing team that makes every Guardian and frog gay or lesbian. Seperate PvP and PvE. Just look at the shit the new Warlock class and his grenade does. smh This game is broken kn every level.

I'm enjoying it

I really am enjoying it so far and yes it does have its faults of course but honestly it has been really fun. I don't understand how these people are still talking sh*t on the forums but some are already at basically max level and finished the season pass and everything else. I think my only complaints this time around are the stasis abilities and how they work. But, honestly it's about how its always been on D2. LOVE Variks, love Crow, love the Wrathborn concept, obviously love the whole entire concept/story/all of the characters of/in Destiny ever since 2014. I also see people getting angry at Saint and Osiris and I just don't understand how some people can be so hateful and ignorant on the topic - if you don't like it, don't look at it, don't play the game. I am getting tired of the Destiny community being OVERLY toxic... and I've been on these forums for a while but jeez... recently has been straight up negativity and ignorance. Bungie is trying, and I was angry about the game around Shadowkeep but I really ended ip having a lot of fun in Arrivals. And now I absolutely love Beyond Light. Story is 100% awesome. Lore is good. I just wish the people complaining can go and play another game if this one is 'so bad.' Wosh there was more positivity and actual feedback and reasonable opinions not filled with hate.

I like the expansion a lot, and I think if this expansion didn’t come with sunsetting and other things people complain about, people would love it.
-
My favourite thing is people posting on the forums that they're leaving the game finally and you just know it's not true at all. Love it or hate it, you're addicted to destiny, and you'll never quit it lmao
-
The 2 best dlcs for Destiny were Taken King and Forsaken or maybe Rise of Iron.
-
I think it's great
-
Yeah you’re so right. The upvotes for this post validate that.
-
Nice try Bungie employee...
-
Yeah- I legitimately didn't think the DLC is as bad as these forums says it is. I wasn't expecting any earth-shattering gameplay, and I knew it would another linear errand-boy campaign- but it's been decently fun. Sunsetting seems silly- but I just can't whip myself into whiney frenzy about it like the forum saltbois. It just feels like a really minor inconvenience.

My only complaints so far are the storms on Europa, and I wish they would have included all of the Cosmodrome including the Plaguelands from the ROI version expansion in D1.

Bearbeitet von SolarCerberuS: 11/17/2020 9:11:45 PMWhile I do feel that the BL campaign was way too short and too easy and had those annoying filler tasks in-between actual missions. And the loot is extremely light on and lack lustre. I have been enjoying moments In Gambit. Freezing those annoying invaders and blasting their frozen corpses Into smitherines or putting up an ice wall when a truth rocking invader makes an appearance ❄️☄️☄️☄️

3 AntwortenGood glad you like it. I am burnt out on: Bounties for Xp Mindless and pointless power grind No loot - sunsetting Europa is Mars on ice Bounties, Bounties, Bounties Having to Sparrow back and forth again and again The only real difference from last season to this was Stasis and I don't even want to finish unlocking it cause of the reasons stated above. I have stopped playing for the most part.
-
2 AntwortenI always enjoy new content. I didn’t blow through everything in the first week so plenty left to keep me entertained.😊
-
2 AntwortenI played crucible today and I honestly thought that, yes, stasis is pretty much everywhere, but it's not as suppressive as youd think. People need to learn to play smarter. Most of the abilities only work when it hits the ground, so the best thing to do is stay in the air. I might consider using wings of sacred dawn to do this. It is satisfying though freezing an enemy and them being powerless to stop me as I shoot them in the face. You can get scarily good with it.
-
I love destiny, I love stasis, I hate getting completely frozen by enemies on pve and pvp. Its really not that hard to simply slow players down instead of completely freezing them.

I'm hoping the story gets better in terms of the pyramids/the darkness. It seems Bungie has a habit of introducing a story line in the main campaign, and then abandoning it for the seasonal content. Other than that, I'm really enjoying the game so far. Have played a little bit of the seasonal content earlier today, and am going to jump back in later tonight. I'm glad that the main activity for the season is accessible to solo players, and doesn't require matchmaking. The raid is going to be fun too. It will be interesting to see if they pull a Dreaming City and the raid opens a new area or starts a new gameplay loop like the curse. But yeah, I'm totally reserving judgement seeing as not all the content has been released for the season, and I'm not trying to draw comparisons between Forsaken as a whole and the first week of Beyond Light.

Can people who don’t enjoy the dlc please just leave people alone who enjoy the dlc? sure it’s not perfect but that doesn’t mean it isn’t fun or interesting for others. There’s a lot that needs to be done sure but the post was meant to spread positivity in a very negative environment so stop bringing others down for having a differing opinion it’s ignorant and uncivilized. Just because you don’t enjoy the expansion doesn’t mean others won’t and if you have feedback make it constructive criticism so bungie can improve upon the game better
-
It's more of what I like. Getting loot and shooting aliens.

6 AntwortenYeah so far I’m really enjoying beyond light here’s why Story: the story has a feeling like a mix of shadowkeep and forsaken where it’s “hunt these people down”. The story actually gives you useful lore information and exposition( I’d list the instances here but that would be a spoiler) which is great if you’re not big into lore and don’t know a the little bits of destiny inside and out Stasis: stasis is really fun to use inside of PvE for Titans at least and my warlock friend seems to have a blast with shadebinder Quest: the quests feel more unique and has a little busy work but not anything d1 and d2 vets have experienced. The quest involving the exostranger I think might be one of the best quests we’ve had in while and allows us to better know the exo stranger’s past and her mindset Exotics: the 2 beyond exotics I have current feel unique and like how exotics should feel and I can’t wait to get the rest Aspects/fragments: aspects and fragments are cool mods for stasis that can really change the way you play with them and I can’t wait to see the rest of them Aspect/fragment quests: the quests feel lengthy but not too long for how powerful the aspects/fragments can be. Post campaign: I think it was cool and brings life to a world where previous expansions felt like it stopped advancing after the campaign was finished minus forsaken. The post campaign makes sense and wraps up a couple loose ends left by the story Europa: I love Europa and has easily become my favorite destination. It’s huge and looks amazing. Cosmodrome: love it very nostalgic feeling I only wish it was the siva infested version but I love it all the same
