I'm really finding it hard to get motivated to play. I log on, do a couple quests and then log off again. I am not excited about any of it and I am not alone. Judging from the forums, reddit, twitter, vids and reviews, a lot of people are not happy with this dlc.

It will be meaningless until they get rid of the boring and pointless power level grind. That's literally all we do in this game, and it's about as fun as syphilis.

They got rid of so 90% of the weapons cause “PoWeRcReEp”... but the ritual they add the season they introduce sunsetting is a -blam!-ing reskin of the most used sniper with the perk rolls people already look for on snipers? Holy -blam!- they couldn’t even introduce a new gun the second they got rid of most of them. The lack of creativity and complete bullshit that is sunsetting really did show...

I stopped playing for months now. This game will not get better under the current leadership. When you buy their "product", you're helping them push mediocrity for more. More money for less content. Strongest message you can send is to leave the game altogether.

Sounds like you just don’t like destiny 2s progression system. This dlc made the game way more Grindy and added a good amount of content and we don’t even have the season yet. Sunsetting was crucial for the health of the game it solved many problems.

I recommend playing The Division 2. In terms of gear acquisition, the game respects player time [i]immensely[/i].

Hard to say this is better than warframe now. Least in warframe my favorite weapons haven’t gotten capped off so I cant use them in high level stuff

Welcome to D2 Y1 launch when they blew up our vaults

This is the first time that I haven't been able to get new content on release day due to my lack of funds.... I was planning to get it this week on my pay day.... I'm still 99.9% sure that I'll get Beyond Light but I've seen so many negative comments and posts about our beloved game that part of me is not so sure now!!... The week before BL dropped I decided to go back in time and start Destiny 1 again. Wow!!, what a great game. I deleted my least used guardian, Warlock, and started again. I marvelled at all my weapons in the vault. Fatebringer, Shadow Price, Plan C & many more. Even No Land Beyond!! Eye's up guardian...We've woken the hive and of course, I don't have time to explain why I don't have time to explain!! Those early Fallen missions, the erieness of those first levels on the Moon. Going deep into the moon, heading towards The Circle of Bones in the dark with those noises.... I must have played these levels hundreds of times due to all the grinding back in the early days. The missions still have an atmosphere and feeling about them that hasn't gone away... So I thought I'd see what the Free To Play was like for Beyond Light. So far I've done the first mission. I've done the two new strike missions. One on Europa, which was fun...especially the little Hydra! The other one confused me to start with because I thought I was doing Omnigul!! I had had a glass of wine or two and for a second thought I had put Destiny 1 on by mistake. I had played Omnigul a few hours previously... When I realised it was new I got into it and really enjoyed it.... I read a comment earlier saying The Moon is now pointless, I understand the sentiment but at 1209 light level I managed to do The Deathbringer Quest thanks to the quest archive. It took a couple of hours and was quite easy due to my power level. It was great doing nightmare hunts seeing the guardians using stasis and turning all the baddies into popsicles and then shattering them into pieces!!! Awesome!! NOT AWESOME in The Crucible though, I'm average at pvp so I need all the help I can get. Getting frozen mid anything, got a bit old quick tbh. I think If I had the ability of stasis I wouldn't feel so salty about it and would probably enjoy it more, maybe? Played some Gambit, enjoyed that. Got a nice chest piece. Was surprised The Gambit weapons can't be levelled up! Sunsetting, we knew it was coming, but I think it sucks! Playing Destiny 1 again, I enjoyed using my favourite old Vault Of Glass weapons but didn't last long either once I got to level 20 as they soon become underpowered and then had to stored in The Vault as souvenirs. But then there was so many weapons being added and we would find a new favourite.... Where's my new favourite?......... So tell me, Guardians. If you hadn't already purchased BL, would you still buy it knowing what you know now?
