I've used the companion app to create Fireteams and invite others to join my Fireteam for years. Last night after the update, I made various posts and tried to invite guardians to join via the app. However, every time I tried to invite, I got the following error message: “You cannot invite players to your fireteam unless you are playing Destiny 2 and are in Orbit with open Fireteam slots. If you meet these requirements yet are seeing this error, check to make sure that you not set your profile to an “Appear Offline” state." I triple checked the following: made sure I was in orbit (haven't needed to do that before, but okay); made sure fireteam was public (it was); and confirmed that my profile was not set to "appear offline" (it wasn't). In short, the App worked a few days ago and now doesn't work (at the least the inviting portion doesn't work). I tried logging out of D2 and logging back in, I tried deleting the app and reinstalling it, I tried turning off the PS4, resetting my router, and logging back in. None of that worked. I am still getting the error message. Has anyone experienced this problem or does anyone have any other suggestions as to how I can fix this? I'm not the most social player, so using the app and inviting through the app has been the only way I've connected with others to join my fireteam and I'm heartbroken if I can no longer use it.
