Trials and Iron Banner Will Not Save You
Reddit is done.
The Forums are done.
Most of Twitter is done. (Unless you're a streamer or youtuber)
Trials will not save you this time from the outcry. A worthless pinnacle bow in Iron Banner will not save you this time.
Everyone is upset. This has to be your worst release yet. This time you have no wall to hide behind against player backlash and criticism.

I'll respond to more reasonable people if they come along, but with the BDF out I'll stick to ignoring most responses as their favorite argument is Ergo decedo aka Traitorous Critic Fallacy. Thus not really worth my time. This is just how I saw things and still do. Enjoy the good fight for something better everyone and if by some miracle you enjoy this mess of a season congrats have fun with your meaningless bounty grind whatever keeps you happy![/spoiler]

[spoiler]Alright at this point I'm out of steam. I'm done replying completely. I'll give it a check when it comes to replies but man I never expected one of my posts to reach over 300 upvotes. Due to people wanting it and clearly not understandingmy own view I'll put my problems and likes of the game in one last text box.[/spoiler]
What I like about D2 and My Current problems with it:
[spoiler]Likes: The shooting, the Eververse armor, Saint-14, the explosions and the music.
Dislikes/Problems: Retconned good lore bits with terrible character assassinations, going out the way to almost pretend like D1 never happened, terrible earnable armor designs, factions being ignored and then thrown into basic engrams because Bungie just can't do the D1 system everyone has been asking for, bad characters, strikes are pointless, gambit is a mess, crucible is hell 80% of the time, raids are pointless and boring, and finally the grind for both light and bunkers/obelisks is terrible.[/spoiler]

All these salty fan boys telling ppl to just leave if they don’t like it don’t seem to understand one very important thing. You may not think the game is bad now (god only knows what you find fun) but when all these people that you’re telling to leave do actually leave, the game is going to be horrible. In a game like this, player base is everything! You think crucible is sweaty now? Just wait until it’s only the sweatiest of the sweaties left and you are stuck their with your pud in your paw getting a mindbenders shoved up your ass over and over!

4 AntwortenI like trials.... just waiting on more guns and armor to be added in. It's coming, be patient. Raids are good, but they will improve. Ordeals can be challenging. It's a nice change. In all honesty, this community just complains a lot. Everyone says " I quit " but no one that takes the time to express concern on the forums ever quits.

Only you negative trolls that have nothing better to do think that they have the end all say if a game is good and that it will disappear. Trials will be fun for some, Iron Banner will be fun for some, Bunkers will be fun for some. If nothing is fun for you, this is not the game for you anymore, move on.

Trials is going to be a mess this weekend. The network issues have been horrible. I actually experienced my first DDOS in my 3rd or 4th game of comp this season. We were down 3-1, came back to even it up 3-3 and were ahead in the last round and our whole team gets DC'd one by one. This was at like 800 glory... what do you think people are going to do in Trials.

Before they worry about the game modes, they need to fix the current connection issues. Too many people, getting too many errors, in multiple activities. Trials could re-lauch, in to a huge balls up, with streamers etc all getting kicked with errors. Or... the "common folk" all get kicked, so top 1% players will only be playing each other, which they'll not enjoy, as it is a "sweat fest"... Either way, looking forward to Trials launch if the connections aren't fixed...

they say being salty is healthy :P tbh im not sure what would people expect from new season. its not an expansion, just adding new mood to the gameplay. im not saying that game doesnt need improvement in some areas it surely does, like the weapons having LL cap was just a lazy decision trying to keep ppl playing (it made me hate my god roll sole survivor T-T) ima be honest. i dont wanna be brutal or mad about it cuz game is awesome. and this is about any season in the past or future. my favourite content was story, zero hour and whisper. ive already played new activity which are those towers of rasputin. weapons look cool. great work from art designers. in the end i get trash bins hold F to dismantle get legendary shards yey. spiders gonna be happy. same for any other activity cuz there are only some triumphs that you get after doing for example 50 public events or lost sectors. or u get color palettes. also vendor for legendary shards. i dont think its the seasons fault. its just that there are not many things to do when youre done with story and exotic quests if not the weekly gear grind. master nightfalls- those are gonna be great im sure. if only there were more opportunities to get high light lvl gear. im excited about playing trials for the first time and the main reason are new weapons as i didnt play d1. btw i wish devs would just completely remove LL advantage, but keep the 960 light requirement to join. its just ballance between grinders and casuals imo u dont have to agree. i will probably use new iron banner bow. doesnt matter that in order to obtain the weapon of my choice for PvE i have to play worst part of d2 which is PvP to me lol. weird. whatever. so in the moment when any of u wanna criticise season content, ask yourself a question: what was that made you like d2 in the past? for me? i just like the gameplay, ofc i wish there were more possibilities in building characters or some other replayable stuff but yea... ya gotta look at world from different perspectives sometimes son :P it helps. peace

You are right. Bungie keeps getting lazier and lazier. Bounty grind is not content. They seem to be unable and unwilling to actually put out decent content. No ritual weapons? I was right they need to take our weapons away because they have nothing to reskin to give us ritual. This game is built on a whim, a prayer and greed. This content isn't even worth $2.

4 AntwortenI am fed up 2ith the reskin, rehash, paying for what ive already paid for in the first game bullshit, dont get me wrong. But I love the feel of the game. Regardless of its sandbox being just a str8 dumpster. Emblems being reworked into just a flag of text for 2 seconds or 10. Ornaments that shouldve been universal regardless of the item. New maps ONTOP of old ones. But ive been with the franchise since even before release. Ive been in the top 8% of crucible in d1 and just idk. Its kind of like meditation . until I run into cheap ass hackers who cant pull a win with skill. At the end of the day I'll pick this over most multiplayer fps. Mostly for lore. hanging out with buddies. And being the prettiest barbie in all of dress-tiny lol But fr. I'm tired of dealing w the disappointments over and over. And we just need a better captain at the helm. A better direction.

I’m curious as to how many people will play Trials initially and how many will continue to do so weekly. I have zero interest in it but I just don’t see it being some saving grace considering they’ve literally always struggled with balance in this game.

Trials has one set of armor and a very small amount of weapons. Iron banner has...a bow. That we should’ve gotten last season... I had so much steam to play this game, but after hearing about weapon retirement, and seeing the perk pool and how much eververse garbage there is, I’m peacing out. If bungie won’t value my time spent, I won’t value theirs.
