Trainwreck Week at Bungie
It seems from the most recent TWAB that Bungie is yet again slapping us in the face with wet towels.
First, a ridiculous, unneeded nerf to snipers is their new, big accomplishment. I guess the fact that a good weapon type for dealing damage to bosses who stomp around like deranged elephants when you get close shouldn't exist. Let's make them into Nerf blasters that shoot foam darts instead of epic weapons that have great DPS! Just get close to the boss and don't get stomped, 4head. Try inefficient and inferior weaponry instead, says the people at Bungie.
Second is their favorite new nerf to grenade launchers. Imagine being able to actually make a dent in a boss' health! Imagine having a viable weapon type for dealing with large yellow bars that are literal projectile sponges who eat up your ammo like hungry pigs! Couldn't be us next season! Nope, they want to simulate Nerf Supersoakers instead with grenade launchers. Screw the players, who needs good heavy weaponry anyways? Pff.
Ultimately though, these nerfs are actually crucial in Bungie's grand vision for the game: a game where every weapon is trash! I guess since some weapons stand out, they should make it trash like the ones that currently suck. Buffs shouldn't be considered! Why make machine guns, traces, shotguns, and fusions better at DPS instead of nerfing snipers and GLs into the ground? Oh, I know why. It's for the sake of balance. To make things equal. Equally garbage.
Congratulations Bungie! Thanks for listening to about 5 whiny YouTube and Twitch babies and implementing whatever they complain about while screwing over 90% of the community with your changes. Everybody is so much happier now!

4 AntwortenMeta changes are important. Izinagis and the Iron Banner GL were the only thing anyone would use. When there is no loot incentive because you already have everything and there is no reason to deviate from the meta, the game gets stale. Tell me what you would have done to change the meta and balance the game?

"Oh im sorry, I wasnt using Izanagi's last week and chose to use the weapon X that I wanted to use. I didnt think it would warrant a kick from the game." Season 10 starts: "Oh hey I see you changed your LFG post to say use weapon X, does this mean your a f**king hypocrite now? Please say "Im a f**king hypocrite"."

After whisper got the treatment it did, I knew sooner or later they would hit izanagi's burden. It's just their way of making the game artificially difficult.

The AI is really, really bad in this game. The only way to increase how challenging combat can be is to increase enemy damage output and reduce damage input, swarm you, or make you have to do some terribly contrived mechanics. If a weapon does too much dps it skews off two of those factors. I'm not defending any of this; I'm just stating the reality of the situation. They cannot or will not improve the AI, so the only challenge they can offer is bullet sponges and chaos. Working with what they have, it's either nerfs are going to have to occur or people tear through bosses and complain there's no challenge. Yeah, it would be great if a shitty game or shitty system could be less shitty, but it's not happening. So if you don't like eating shit then stop eating shit. But after close to six years you haven't figured out that this is the game and it either cannot or will not change - whether it be hardware or engine limitations, lack of time, laziness, indifference, or whatever - then I don't know what to tell you. For the love of God there were ZERO improvements to AI when D2, an allegedly brand new game came out. What do you really think they can do to make early PS2 AI challenging? Walk up to your 1993 Ford Festiva every day and complain that's it's not a Ferrari. Tell it it SHOULD be a Ferrari. Yell at it. Rip it apart and try to mod it into being a Ferrari. It's never going to be a Ferrari no matter what. Not even close, and what you're doingis asinine. If it means enough to you, sell the Festiva for $2 and try to find a way to buy a Ferrari.

Even the justification for "balancing" weapons going into a reintroduction to Trials, is secondary to Bungie being a secondary gaming infrastructure. Ask them to sell to a superior infrastructure like Google, who owns their own top-tier servers around the world, and can afford (read: greed is far less a factor than it is for Bungie) to bring back the likes of The Taken King programmers, for a return to the pinnacle heights possible with a D3. When it comes down to it; everything else is wasted 'effects'. Go direct to the roots: ask Bungie to sell to the best.

11 AntwortenI main goldtusk and 12 punch with liars🤷♂️. You can mitigate a boss stomp with a timed melee or sword swing fyi. Crying about it with the bandwagon of whiners wont do anything btw unless you enjoy looking childish. The other weapons are "trash" because they are severely outclassed by izanagi and l&D with full court and spike. It's been that meta for months time for a change

Its easy to two phase raid bosses and others with these trash weapons. No perfect execution needed. Maybe now it will take three phases. Oh my that is so hard. Help mommy

Best way to avoid all bungie weapon manipulations is stop playing anything harder than bounties/patrols. I log on almost everyday for my mindless shooting hour, and man, you feel the power blasting mobs on the moon event. Lol

2 AntwortenFunny how trace rifles shotguns and fusions have at one point been a good option for damage but now they aren't. I don't think machine guns have ever been a good choice for boss damage at least. I have finally decided to just move on from Bungie and Destiny along with what was left of my clan. I think out of 4 clans that were made into one as people left there is one person playing now and that is cause he just got another PS4 after his got struck by lightning on over a month ago. He has already said he is moving on with the rest of us though.
