They should seriously look at D1, they got this "looter shooter" genre and everything else better than D2.
Raid weapons used to be treasured for their truly unique perks, and solid rolls.

Nah, the D1 Raids still had weapons you dismantled as soon as you got them.

Because you already had them.

Even when I didn’t, I didn’t fall in love with all the weapon drops. Some just were not as good as weapons you could get elsewhere. It’s not like every time a Raid released into Destiny 1 the meta changed to those weapons. One or two, maybe snuck in, but not all.

But they were almost always good guns, especially in the raids they came from. Even if they weren't the best, they were still unique.
