I just want to say this. I’m not gonna preach to you or convert you or anything, but if you knew that there was a God, and that everyone was going suffer unimaginable and eternal torment in Hell when they died, and you had the key to save them, wouldn’t you do something about it? I mean, I wouldn’t wish that on my worse enemy, much less the ones I care about.
Yes, there are some people who use religion (sometimes Christianity) as a way to con people out of their money. There are some hypocrites. That isn’t indicative of all Christians.
What I’m trying to say is, don’t get offended if people try to convert you. If they truly believe that there is a place called He’ll and you were heading straight for it when you died, then you should expect them to want to save you. You don’t have to accept it, or even believe it. Just decline and move on. Don’t be rude about it.
Because in doing so, you actually prove them right.
Thank you for coming to my TED talk. Please keep the comments civil.

127 Antworten
if you knew that there was a God, and that everyone was going suffer unimaginable and eternal torment in Hell when they died,
First off Homeschool, you don’t “know” anything. Have you met god? Have you exchanged words in person? You claim you know something you don’t know. Congratulations you read a book! Now I know Harry Potter is real because a book told me so! By hell Homeschool you need get your head out of your ass.
you had the key to save them, wouldn’t you do something about it?
You know what irks me about this, if the shoe was on the other foot you wouldn’t be arguing this. Your book isn’t “saving” anyone. If anything it’s doing the opposite. By choosing to believe in religion you restrict your thinking to only one thing, and that is the Bible. When reading the Bible you will be told of these tales meant to suppress independent thought and to make you fear what happens if you stray away. It’s fear mongering. “Oooh if you don’t believe in our god you’ll burn with the devil oooh!” “Oooh you won’t go to heaven if you don’t do as our book says oooh!” The people who put it together wanted to control the people so they could stay in power. Humans want power, they’ll do anything to get it. Oh no! By not believing in god, the devil is out to get me! Oh no! -blam!- off with that bullshit.
What I’m trying to say is, don’t get offended if people try to convert you.
I can and I will. By trying to convert me they are openly disrespecting my beliefs. By trying to force something on me, you’re disrespecting me and my beliefs. If someone comes up to my door trying to convert me, I’m going to say that I’m going to put my foot so far up their ass they’re boyfriend can’t hump it anymore. Why? Because eff you. If one of those “feminists” you see on the internet came up to you and started to do their thing, you’d see where I’m coming from.
If they truly believe that there is a place called He’ll and you were heading straight for it when you died, then you should expect them to want to save you.
Oh yes, so these kind people want to save me, because they fear for my happiness. But they’re the same people to deny a man to marry another man despite the fact they’d both be happy. Congratulations! You’re a idiot!
Don’t be rude about it.
No. If they come onto my property, disrupt my day, bother me while I’m doing a task, I am most definitely going to be rude about it.
Because in doing so, you actually prove them right.
Once again, Homeschool, you’re wrong. By being preaching assholes, they’re proving their religion is a bunch of nonsense with a bunch of hypocritical followers. “Oooh ooh oooh don’t be an asshole to us oooh ooh ooh!” And then you go on to be a prick by saying “Oooh ooh you’ll burn in hell for not accepting gods word oooh ooh!” DO YOU EVEN REALIZE HOW HYPOCRITICAL YOU’RE BEING! This is where I put the final nail into my notification’s coffin. If you need a book to tell you what to believe, how to think, your morals, what you should learn, what to do, etc. You are a weak person who is nothing better than a sheep who follows whatever the shepherd tells him. I don’t have enough time to elaborate on everything, get over it. I’m talking directly to you Homeschool, Giant, whatever the hell you want to call yourself. Anyone else will most likely receive a condescending reply from me. Do you understand that knights templar?
