Hi, there. This is (yet another) post about the necessity of buffing Tarrabah (alternative resolution provided later). So, Tarrabah has this dope lil perk called "Ravenous Beast" which allows you to store energy gathered by taking or receiving damage. When the tank is full, you can "Unleash The Beast" for increased party time. While you're partying, the party goes on for longer. It's pretty sweet. That being said, we have some issues. First is that the energy gathered disappears when swapping to your kinetic or heavy weapon. That's just...not cool bro. Second is that Recluse still out performs it (minus Ravenous Beast). There are more, but people don't wanna read a miniature novel about something commented on numerous times. Simple ideas for buffs. 1. Increase RPM, keep everything else intact. OR 2. ditch the energy gathered mechanic and let us Unleash the Beast by holding reload. Now before people get triggered, I offer an alternative. Nerf Recluse so that it doesn't out perform Tarrabah (just drop the RPM by like...50) OR revert Lord of Wolves back to the state it used to be prior to just being able to activate the perk on demand. In my opinion, that is the biggest complaint with Lord of Wolves. Bungie gave us the ability to simply activate the perk without getting a kill (like previously), which makes the gun a tank. Not to mention the perk continues to exist even if you swap to another weapon. So we have an exotic solar shotgun that works similarly to the exotic solar submachine gun. Each have a requirement to hold reload to activate its 'superior' form. Each has a perk that is applied. So WHY is it that the RAID EXOTIC is inferior to the general exotic that anyone with access to Xur and Forsaken can get? I get that not every exotic is supposed to be this masterpiece god weapon, but imo Raid Exotics should be a higher tier because the only drop is from the final encounter of the raid. They're not gonna out perform everything and each has their uses, but why the hell would I ever want to use Tarrabah when I have Recluse and/or Lord of Wolves? Again, to reiterate, we have a similar exotic to Tarrabah that is superior in that it retains it's perk indefinitely (until you die, obviously) and you can activate it without doing anything more than holding reload.
