State your reason that should be reasonable for reasons
Edit: Don’t bring your religion on this subject, it has nothing to do with it. If you wanna talk religion go somewhere else cuz this is not the place.
Edit 2: ALRIGHTY never should post anything political on these forums cuz some of you get WAY too passionate. Seriously, chill out.

7 AntwortenBearbeitet von Dancing_Downer: 8/5/2019 5:11:24 AMI usually try not to state my political opinion, but in light of recent events I will now. I do have to warn you: if you’re not ready to hear an opinion that may or may be the opposite of yours, don’t click the “Show spoiler”.
I think there is no reason for citizens to own military grade weapons. Personally I believe it’s ok for people to have guns, but not things like an AR 15. Military grade weapons are meant to be human killers, not weapons for sport. There is just no good reason for citizens to own these kind of things, there is good reason for someone to own something like a shotgun, especially if you live in the outdoors. And before someone yells “We need them to prevent government oppression!”, I have a few words to say to that: THEY HAVE TANKS, AND YOUR ASSAULT RIFLE DOESN’T KILL A TANK.

I get that AR 15s aren’t “military grade”. My point with bringing those up is I do not believe civilians should own firearms that are meant to kill other humans. Shotguns are fine, hunting rifles are fine, hell even a handgun is fine. ARs are not fine, for the have the soul purpose to kill other humans. In conclusion: There is no reason for a civilian to own an AR, if there’s a shooting no one carries an AR with them at all times, that’s why you have handguns.
2 AntwortenI dislike the idea of legalised guns, and the idea of random citizens wielding guns, when they can just barely be trusted with a butter knife.
Edit 2: ALRIGHTY never should post anything political on these forums cuz some of you get WAY too passionate. Seriously, chill out.
I also dislike it when someone is anti-passion, especially when they attack passion in a thread they created... on a subject that was guaranteed to perpetuate passionate debate.

1 AntwortenI want to buy a tank

Pro-gun And the media is already labeling everyone who is or voted for Trump is evil.

I'm not for nor against guns. I'm anti murderer. Do I think that average citizens need a military grade weapon, with over sized magazines, night vision sights, nor a laser sight. It's illegal to hunt at night anyhow. No. I think it is a small pee pee thing or an obsession that they have, just like with anything, you'll always have the extremists that have to over do everything. I'm a car guy, but no average driver needs a Hellcat with 707 hp for their street car. These murderers are terrible. If they aren't dead from the event, they should be executed with no media, no fan fare, and no word of where they are or where their remains are placed. that said, there are other dangers that people turn a blind eye to DAILY that take more lives annually that hellbent assholes.
Nearly 4,000 people were killed in crashes involving distracted drivers in 2015. Distracted driving was the reported cause of death of 3,450 people in 2016. An estimated 391,000 drivers were injured in distracted driving crashes in 2017. For comparison, there were 39,773 gun deaths in the United States in 2017.
And the overwhelming majority of those gun deaths are in gun free zones in non mass murder related shootings.

1 AntwortenWould it not be reasonable to address murderous intent rather than the weapons used to carry it out?

I'm pro gun for me. I'm anti gun for everyone else.

If you wanna talk religion go somewhere else cuz this is not the place.
I do as I please. Religion is woven into every aspect of life. There is no such thing as an absence of religion. Atheism, secularism... they are also religions. Your actions are the symptoms of your faith. I digress... self-defense, and empowering one’s citizens to be self-sufficient in self-defense is never wrong by any means. More people die from drunk driving per year than mass shootings. Yet, you hypocrites would not dare to ban alcohol. Heaven forbid your precious vices are taken away. Heaven forbid you face life without being chained to your next fix.

My reasonable reason for reasoning, is that gun is my religion. Now maybe you could reason with me and I might change my reason or even my religion... but again that won’t happen unless you give a reason. Aw shit wait I shouldn’t post anything political on these forums. Just pretend I am shitpost.
who wants to play middle school: battle royale?
A poll on this post would've been of good use.

37 AntwortenAnti. Guns are a privilege which the minority ruins for the majority.
-
7 AntwortenPro gun They actually used to teach gun safety in schools....back when there was far less "Mass shootings"

8 AntwortenA rifle is for hunting. A firearm is for personal defense. A semi automatic or a fully automatic are not practical for the average citizen. That's my jar of pennies.

Gun laws are an infringement of the second amendment, and the federal government tramples on the ideals this country was founded upon daily.

ARs(Assault Rifles) are bad mmm'kay. We need to get rid of the these auto firing death machines or else the world is gonna end mmm'kay.
Don't worry about the pollution, homeless issue, or poor public education system throughout our country. This country is full of -blam!-ing idiots, always will be and the only thing you can do about that is prepare for the worst. I am pro-gun, bad people will always do bad things one way or another. Prolonging the inevitable is not the solution and in a country as large as ours you can't police every single person without invasion of privacy. Europeans always talk about how they don't have guns. The state I live in could fit several of those countries in it, when my father first moved here the -blam!- still marched down the streets and folks had gun racks on their trucks with rifles and or shotguns. Guns are ingrained in our soceity for better or worse, to each their own but just because one bad apple after another, the rest should not have to suffer. What can be done, I honestly have no -blam!-ing clue, my life ain't easy it's a -blam!-ing struggle everyday to get by in more ways than one but I carry on and that is the best I can do. I look out for Numero Uno, me, myself and I. Is it selfish, yes but I am a kind person. I'm not going into the details of what I have gone out of the way to do for others because at the end of the day it doesn't matter. When I wake up it's a blessing and curse because this shit sucks. All I can say is stay strong, carry on and live because I seriously doubt anybody would want you to be miserable if they didn't wake up. Most of us have dealt with the loss of a loved one, if you haven't your lucky for the time being but time catchs up to all of us. Remember to tell the people you love that you in fact love them because they might not be there tomorrow because of natural causes or some sack of shit with an itchy trigger finger, a lead foot or a drinking problem.
TLDR, keeping living and carry on.

For me it depends. I’ve used guns for good, like hunting (for food, not sport). But my family and I have also had very negative experiences with guns. For example, my mother’s father once pulled a gun on her and threatened to shoot her. (He is bipolar and was an alcoholic; he’s gotten treatment and is much better now)
-
I guess I'm technically pro gun since I enjoy shooting at a range and plan to get a rifle at some point, but I do wish that they were not as accessible for people who shouldn't have them.

Pro 2A, everyone has a right to defend themselves with whatever means necessary.
-
They are great tools for defense, hunting and hobbying, however they are a very deadly tools. Personally I think that certain groups and individuals need to be monitored more closely and mental health (that seems to just be pushed aside in the US) needs to be taken more seriously.

5 AntwortenPro freedom.
