Bungie, you request feedback from us, so...
Hello Bungie team,
Please layoff the hand cannons for awhile. There are a lot of them in game and more still to come.
Lately, I have been using sidearms a ton and think there could be more exotics of this type. Most of all though, I prefer Auto Rifles and still use Hard Light (since D1... probably my all-time favorite weapon). That is not a joke, although it feels like it sometimes. I get the impression that some weapons, aside from hand cannons, are not truely given the same level of attention and therefore end up not being as viable.
A new type of melee weapon might be a fun change as well. Perhaps a whip, with range that extends somewhere in between swords and firearms...just a thought...

P.S. - I came back to the game after taking a break for awhile and saw the Hard Light ornament for sale. I tried to purchase silver, but the PlayStation store wouldn't load for me. Eververse refreshed before I could get the PS store to actually load up (literally missed it by minutes). If you could offer it in the store one more time, I would be very happy. :-)

2 AntwortenHere's feedback: in gambit what's the point of killing the envoys to drop a damage buff circle if the first thing the primeval does is cover it in fire so no one can stand on it . . . or we all die ? 🤔

2 AntwortenJavelins, spear guns, rail guns that can impale Guardians to walls/floors/ceilings/other Guardians, whips that disarm weapons from the enemy... all sorts of fun things they could add (that aren't HCs). ;)

1 AntwortenI was thinking, maybe as a heavy weapon, give us pair of gauntlets Kratos-style and let us run around punching stuff. Delving deeper into the gauntlets, how about 3 exotic versions like the three swords in D1: One for close combat (the punchy one: alternate punches with L/R trigger, holding down for a megapunch) Two for ranged combat (you can shoot with these, also alternating with triggers and holding for a supershot And the third that I literally just came up with-- mobility combat (you punch where you wanna go. You look up and release a trigger you held, you fly straight up, and if you do the same while looking right in front of you do a long dash, dealing damage. Rapidly clicking triggers would be like running, but a LOT faster. So in a way, it's a combination of the first two, but mainly focuses on the mobility aspect of it all.) I've been wanting gauntlet weapons for a while, and I think something like this would fit nicely in game, at least the first two. I really want to see Bungie push for more ideas like the third one, though.

Primary would make it fire regular ammo, switching to special ammo makes it fire mini shotgun shells, just like the gun irl can fire .45 or mini shotgun shells. It could switch ammo type like activating element change on hardlight. But switching to special pulls from special weapons reserves. I love the idea of a dual purpose weapon. Something similarly explored in D1 with exotic auto in RoI. Or! A new heavy bow that fire frikin javelin rounds.

The talent that was put into D1 designing weapons has fallen short when it comes to D2. It's why so many weapons are reskinned or re-reskinned weapons and D1 exotics are used as a carrot way too many times.

for me an exotic weapon, should be something unique, not part of any weapon archetype.

sidearms have bad hitboxes like snipers. There is no reason to use a sidearm unless you want to not land crits.

I have to agree. Most if not all present day warfare weapons are predominantly assault rifles (translates to auto rifles in the D2 universe) with side arms as self defense weapons. Judging from how things look, I think this should be the next direction that Bungie goes down to bring more relevancy to these 2 classes of weapons. GLs got some lovin'. It's time ARs and side arms got some too.
