I’ve decided to use the classification system to classify the races in destiny.
Fallen:
Kingdom:Animalia
Phylum:Arthropoda
Subphylum: Hexapoda(because limb number)
Class:Entognatha
Order:
Family:
Cabal:
Kingdom:Animalia
Phylum:Chordata
Class:Mammalia
Order:Primates
Family:Hominidae
Hive:
Kingdom:Animalia
Phylum:Chordata
Class:Mammalia
Order:Monotremata
Family:
notes:
blanks mean nothing applies
Genus and species are Latin, and would all have to be created from scratch, meaning they are not doable.
I tried to skip the “sub-“ ones because, 1. they are fake, 2. people don’t agree on what they are even consist of 3. Too much work
Scorn are fallen
The cabal I used were the original species(ex. Legionaries)
Feel free to tell me where I am wrong.
Also thanks for the help with telling me what cabal eat.
Hey you! stop typing that comment I know what you are going to say “ThEy DoN’t FiT bEcAuSe ThE cLaSsIfIcATiOn SyStEm Is FoR yOu To SeE hOw StUfF iS rElAtEd By AnCeStRy” it isn’t. The classification system tells you how they are physically similar to each other, ex. Two arm, hairy. NOT to tell you who your Uncle Kevin is
5 AntwortenHow about people who are humans outside and animals inside? https://www.bungie.net/en/Forums/Post/252647821?sort=0&page=0

6 AntwortenHive resemble more bugs than mammals. Cabal.....more reptile than mammal.

1 AntwortenAnd reading the spoiler, "anamalia" is an Earth term. You classified all 3 under the same name, but none are animals, and none are similar.

1 AntwortenBearbeitet von wes238: 6/30/2019 4:19:51 PMNot sure they could be classified by human stipulations/class systems. Not even sure they are carbon based. Adding additional elements to composition would probably nullify the human classification systems. "Primate" or "mammal" are human/Earth terms. Their species are "Hive" or "Cabal", so they would have different genus/class/subspecies names, all the way back up to their molecular origins, and highly unlikely they share anything in common with any carbon based/Earth lifeforms, so they wouldn't share genus/phylum/class with anything on Earth. But, who knows?

3 AntwortenInteresting stuff.
Possibly worth noting that for an organism to be an animal (ie in the kingdom animalia) it must be part of the domain eukaryota, and hence have eukaryotic cells. It seems unlikely (but not impossible) that alien races would be composed of such cells but it would be interesting if that was the case. Still a great post.
Interesting.
