Xbox is basically locked out of the Asian market because Sony brand loyalty is so intense there. Don't get me wrong. Microsoft got arrogant and complacent coming out of the last generation....and thought they could get away with the same monopolistic approach that they treat PC owners with in desktop computing. ....and only to have gamers PAINFULLY remind them that they (in fact) had no such monopoly. And MS is rightfully pay a price for that arrogance. But: 1. PS isn't 2.5 times better than XB. In fact, Xbox 1X is actually the more capable machine. Games look better and run smoother on 1X than they do on PS Pro. 2. XB really isn't looking to compete with PS going forwards. MS goal is clearly to break down the barrier between console gaming and PC gaming....and integrate those two worlds. An arena where Sony simply can't compete. If Phil Spencer plays his cards right.....MS and Xbox could rise out of the water in 2 or 3 years like Godzilla. A monster that Sony is in no position to defeat. In fact....if Google Stadia works, and Google doesn't flake out like the sometimes do....the conflict that defines the next generation could actually be between MS and Google. Not MS and Sony.
