My $0.02 of feedback to Bungie from a guy who has invested a ton of time in this game. I'll start with the positives. Cross play and cross saves seem fantastic. I have been wanting to play on my PC sometimes but have way too much invested in Xbox to switch. I'm also hoping it'll help keep the player pool full for even old activities. Great idea. Free to play for new players seems fantastic. I expect it will help keep the player base from shrinking. I personally like the trickle feed of activities season pass brought and I hope it continues. It keeps me coming back week to week and it also makes me not feel pressured to play 40 hours in a week when new content drops. Getting to use year 1 armor again seems great. I'm excited to get some of those old sets out again and maybe go earn some stuff I didn't bother getting before. Not paywalling crucible is huge and I'm thrilled about that. Hopefully will keep player pool s Deep. Okay, now the negatives/worries: Going back to an old location and fighting old enemies doesn't excite me at all. The new content doesn't seem new and there seems to be so little that it doesn't have me excited at all. As happy as reusing old armor makes me, it's not a selling point for buying new content either. Oh and another exotic hand cannon!?!? Really!?!? I like the season pass model personally but if I'm gonna buy it I'll need to see some kind of road map to whet my appetite. I suppose that's coming but it's surprising and worrying to see so little of the next year's content at this point. The preview for the crucible update was vague and incoherent. If anything it makes me more worried for the future of the crucible because it seems like even Bungie still doesn't have a clear plan to fix the crucible. Cross play opens the door for keyboard/mouse vs. controllers and 30fps vs 60fps which can make for a huge mismatch. Hopefully there will be some controls for limiting matchmaking to similar setups.
