How aquire catalyst if can't join faction? Sweet buiness sunshot

Catalysts should just come from using the weapons themselves as opposed to tied to RNG while doing certain activities. Why is Sleeper catalyst tied to Raid Lair, why is Telesto Tier to Raid Lair - activities some may never get round to doing/achieving. I can understand Whisper/Acrius because they come specifically from those activities so fair enough in a way but even then I’d say all catalysts should have had an unlock method to gain it and then mastery path to apply it rather than ‘random’ chance. This would eliminate the issue of these old ones being locked behind activities no longer available and actually make it so that anyone willing to put in the effort of using the item can eventually unlock it

8 AntwortenSunshot was ehh at best, graviton was ok I guess, sweet business catalyst was an aprils fool, I got it, saw what it did and ignored it. Very few catalysts are worth getting and even less worth the effort to apply.

At the moment there is no possible way to get the catalyst since it was tied to the Faction Rally (Worst Idea in that season). Since no Factions rallies are coming back anytime soon what you can do is probably create a twitter account and send them a twit and hope to RNGsus that it gets followed since it would be a faster way to get a notice or try and check the help section of Bungie or reddit. I believe it would be the same to the other catalyst that is locked behind the old raids (Still worst idea on that season)

I’ve got several catalyst that I haven’t even applied. Just not worth it. What Bungie needs to do is make it hard for us to decide what weapons we want to use by making them all awesome.

They aren't very good. Tbh I feel like they are placebos... they never seem to do what they say they will. Even the max reload on Fighting Lion... I can't tell a difference... .02% of a second quicker?

5 AntwortenI don’t know what’s so wrong about putting the rallies back in like before with random rolls on the weapons and gear. Why do they always try to fix what isn’t broken?

It’s been a while, and I could potentially be mistaken, but I remember Bungie saying that they were looking into other ways to obtain these Catalysts when the said they were going to ( temporarily ) remove Faction Rallies.

3 AntwortenCome to think of it, I haven't even finished my Sweet Business Catalyst yet, because the gun is quite boring at the moment. I don't know when they will come back, but if they come back when Factions return(whenever that is, knowing Bungie)that will be your chance to obtain them again. Factions should just be permanent instead of having Bungie waste our time with more meaningless grind.

3 AntwortenThey said there would be a way to get them after faction rallies. But it’s been business as usual since then. All’s quite on the Bungie front. Good luck getting them to respond to any of these posts asking about it. But I’ll give you a comment and thumbs up. Maybe this time it will trend and maybe (unlikely) we’ll get some kind of comment. Although if we did get a comment it would probably be Cozmo saying he’ll pass it along to the team. It’s a shame that they lie to us so freely.
