I’m a huge Bioware fan, but with EA running the show, I expect Anthem to be similar to Destiny. The one thing that it may have over Destiny is that, it being Bioware, means that they do want to tell more involved and personal stories. It sounds like there will be no activities that require other players, but time will tell. If there is, any hype I have will dissolve immediately. I don’t like the gameplay model where like 98% of the game can be soloed or has an auto player finding system, but then the few activities required to fully level or get the best gear suddenly can’t be soloed and don’t have any kind of matchmaking. It’s inconsistent and honestly just annoying. I’m hoping Anthem won’t fall victim to that like this game did. I know it’s easier to monetize games after launch if they require online aspects, so I’m not getting excited for Anthem because I bet it’ll be more of the same. Me: plays games to relax and escape life and dealing with people Developers: here’s multiplayer! Now with extra people!
