This renown thing is moronic
screwing with stats like this to create difficulty is a cry of desperation and a lack of creativity in creating the real challenge. Personally, I'd of done something like faction based adventures, flesh out some sort of story behind the factions we pledge too. Destiny 2 really needs to embellish the various factions struggles and help us understand and perhaps even develop a personal reason to stand behind the banners we choose instead of making our allegiances forged on what shiny things we can pry from their fingers. it's things like that which gives us an agency in the game. A place and role that we fill that we can call our own instead of being greedy shallow little loot sponges or "just another guardian". if people want to be mindless little murder drones that's what games like call of duty are for.

2 AntwortenI think the renown is a start, they just did it backwards. Renown should have made us stronger. Enhanced ability cooldowns, stronger supers, etc. Making the game more fun, therefore increasing incentive to actually play.

Simple solution for next faction rally Have the ability to turn renown on/off by equipping/unequipping a faction emblem Why is this not already in place? If my emblem can give me an aura or track how many kills i have with snowballs....

2 AntwortenTotally agree. Logged in to relax a little and this bs happened. Getting one shot on mercury was not fun trying to get my milestone finished. Not even going to bother farming faction. They gave us operation protocol, nightfall and heroic strikes with modifiers and increased enemy levels, damage output and stupid bullet sponges. Leave faction rally and IB alone ffs bungie. I also noticed the more health I lost, I couldn't damage the enemies. A lot less damage output. Is this suppose to do this?

Also Bungie-I know we'll nerf the players when they succeed in pve! Brilliant they love when we make things weaker.

Just like there is no Roe in Destiny. (Rules of Engagement) We shoot to loot, that's it... Factions, like all activities are meaningless. If you wanted Grimoire or Lore, Destiny has a sign saying... "go to the next door, called Bethesda."

2 AntwortenThe renown wasn't bad IMO and there is tons of lore on the factions and the faction wars. BYF does a good job if you don't want to go and read about it. Plus there are scannable to find during the rally. I'd rather collect extra gear doing the things that I normally do in hame than run fetch quest for it.

Imo the health regen shouldn't be hitting like a truck until Renown 3 at least, or Renown 2 if you want to argue. Renown 1 already slows it down significantly even for warlocks, and going above Renown 2 pretty much forces you to rely on Crimson.

Renown. Go through a headache getting 5 then to go through another headache by finding and doing a lost sector for 10 tokens all while stupidly weakened ...... So much for big risk big reward. And yes choosing a faction needs to be more serious cause like exotic weapon buffs and renown Bungi lied yet again about making a choice matter. Can only choose 1 faction per account per rally does not really impact decision making and your loyalty or what ever excuse Bungi used cause majority of players just went with Dead Orbit cause of GL catalyst being the reward. Like way to screw over NM and FWC Bungi give a faction the catalyst for the most OP weapon in the game really smart move.
