Make getting a new engine a priority for D3
It took 3 years to create the engine for D1. They can't just go to the engine store and pick up a new one.

There are a bunch of off the shelf engines more than capable.

There are already people at bungie working on destiny 3, which probably won’t come out for 3 years. I’d say there is enough time to go to the engine store and back.

It's akin to going to the grocery store for fresher items but leaving you with no time to cook.

they actually can just get a new engine, plenty of engines are already built, just license it and convert

They did for D2 that is literally why we lost all our progress. For a improved game engine.
-
First - this is not true Second - switching the engine does not stop you to convert the savegames of the players If you had a look at the chars in D2 you see they are the same .. how could this be?

Bearbeitet von Seraph: 4/26/2018 10:57:09 PMNah, it’s same engine as Destiny 1, it’s just been modified and upgraded a bit but it’s still the same. In truth, the “Tiger Engine” is a modified version of the old ‘Blam’ Engine that Bungie which Bungie have been using long before they built Halo Combat Evolved. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=UU92a5pKV6k

Except...the engine is the same one...as confirmed bungie

So then whyed we lose all our equip... oh. oh they -blam!-ed us. LOL
