Edit 1: to those saying “this is what people have been asking for” is true. But this isn’t the major problem with destiny. Sure changing the sandbox is a good thing for Destiny. But it’s still in the same recycled guns, with the same perks doing the same endgame.
So while it is true that people were asking for these changes...it is not the majority of what people wanted.
That was the point of my comment.

This was on the list of wants 🤦🏼♂️. People hated the state of crucible in 4v4. People wanted rumble, 6v6, and to be more powerful. They are listening. Golly this community is toxic af.

Yeah they "listened" for 3 years too.....that's why this game is soooo good! 6 months in and it's still a poor version of D1.

Destiny Community: "We don't feel powerful. The weapons don't feel powerful. Our abilities take too long to come back. The game feels slow." Destiny Devs: Buff every weapon class in the game for PVP. Boost weapon power for every class an average of an additional 15% for PVE on top of the changes for PVP. They cut over a minute and half off the cooldown on our supers, and allow the armor mods to cut up to 50% off the cooldowns on our grenades and melee attacks. They give major buffs to speed. Major buffs to two underperforming supers. I think some of you just complain for the sake of complaining....or insist that Bungie isn't doing anything just because they haven't gotten around to your individual complaints yet.

Pvp is still bad tho. Who was asking for this slowed down team shooting peashooter of a game we got. Still nothing like D1

[/i] They asked for the changes because they felt that the changes would render more casual gamers unable to compete with them at Trials. Thus making them look more dominant...and improving the marketability of their YouTube and Twitch channels But the problem is that failed to realize that what they wanted...wasn't really want they NEEDED. And removing all the "crutches" and "no-skill weapons" and "ability spam" from the game. Left a hollow, mediocre play experience behind that no one was all that interested in playing, and no one wanted to watch. The problem is that other than CammyCakes and a few others. None of them had the character or the integrity to stand behind what they had asked for, once it became clear how unpopular the changes were. They just conveniently developed amnesia...and joined everyone else on the hate train. Then left to go make money on Fortnite's coat tails once Destiny stopped "putting out."

Personally I feel like you picked the five people that stated this “problem” to back your argument. When in comparison doesn’t even come close to people asking for better loot and greater endgame. Lol. You’re lying to yourself if you think otherwise.

[/b] This patch is directly addressing one of the community's biggest complaints about that the game. That the "power fantasy" that is the foundation of loot-based RPG game play got gutted in the pursuit of PVP balance. Along with power-progression in the game's gear. Resulting in a game where we feel slow and weak compared to the first game. A change that was made (Jon Weisznewski) INTENTIONALLY to the sequel. As one poster put in here a few months ago, [i]"In Destiny 1, I was a jedi. But in Destiny 2, I've been reduced to a stormtrooper." [/i] This patch is Bungie's answer to that complaint....and if you don't realize that this has been one of the community's biggest complaints? All I can say is you haven't been paying attention...and I can't help you.
