First let me say this, I am in love with the game you created Destiny. I am a full time husband, parent, and employee, and on top of that a part time student. Doing all of my life stuff (responsibilities) in Destiny I was able to log in 2,000 hours of game time, finished dozens of raids in the 3 years leading to Destiny 2. We had some slow development over the first 3 years but we as a community (you included) talked, we listened, and we accomplished some really great things. Some not so great, but that's a whole other animal of whiners, that is up for discussion at a later time. What happened? When you dropped Rise of Iron and Age of Triumphs, we left off on this massive high note. We as a community of loyal fans who stuck with you from the original beta, we expected to pick up right where we left off. Now, changes absolutely were expected but not an entire rework of everything. You had amazing things that worked for us all in Destiny. Did you make this game for casuals? Did we the loyalists not matter? Luke Smith who directed The Taken King and Directed D2 is like night and day. Do you at Bungie or anyone reading this feel this way? I'm a concerned Guardian who doesn't want my light to fade out.

3 AntwortenWell said, guardian. I too am a husband, parent and full time employee. Like you, I logged a lot of hours in to Destiny 1. I loved that game. I would really like to know what "Become Legend" means to Luke Smith? I never thought it would mean a slow plodding weak hero wearing ugly gear, less access to space magic and having little choices in how to adjust their abilities.

Good post. 👍🏻

3 AntwortenMy thoughts exactly There is only 1 Destiny, and it doesn't need a number behind it. We lost, lost, and lost our stuff in D1; only to lose the complete idea and game to a Chinese knockoff

Used to joke about my Destiny addiction, wondered if there would ever be a game that could break me of it.....had no idea it would be the sequel. Went from playing 3 hours a night in D1 (even at the end) to playing maybe a hour or 2 a week most times I don't even start it up because seeing the D2 logo on my PS4 just makes me depressed, like seeing a really great ex girlfriend giving handy's in the parking lot.

2 AntwortenAliens Private Hudson: “That's it, man. Game over, man. Game over! What the -blam!- are we gonna do now? What are we gonna do?” That about sums up Bungie at the moment.

Come back in December, then it may be here...

I'll let you know this year

Destiny works the pole late on Friday nights. Bring plenty of ones and she'll dance for you all night.

Bearbeitet von BoomboxCollosus: 1/20/2018 6:11:22 AMThey should be giving as much to the players to make ammends as possible and yet , here we are, them monetising and retaining content while exploiting events to the hilt. Nothing has change and nothing ever will that will fix this game. They build hype just to let you down later. There's nothing left of hope for this game or their integrity. GAME OVER

4 Antworten
When you dropped Rise of Iron and Age of Triumphs, we left off on this massive high note. We as a community of loyal fans who stuck with you from the original beta, we expected to pick up right where we left off.
Only uninformed people who haven't stopped to actually think about things expected that. Depending on who you speak to, D2 started development somewhere between the release of D1 and the April Update. The feature requirements and scope are defined at the beginning of a project, so any features added in Rise of Iron or Age of Triumph were simply too late to be included in D2. It would have been awesome if they could bang out a full sequel in 6 months but that just isn't how things work.

Destiny is with joseph statin over at 343 industries, as this game/franchise is no where near the potential and high stakes horizon joseph had envisioned when he was writing the story for destiny. Sorry brother, but we got the Frankenstein/aborted twin of destiny

This. Since last October.

1 AntwortenDoes anyone feel this way?. Let me ask you this. "Hello Mcfly" where have you been the past 4 months? It's all anyone talks about on these forums.

My light is gone brother guardian, 3 restarted characters in d1 ( almost 4000 hour's in total), bungie sucked the life and soul out of it, peace guardians

3 AntwortenThis first game disk didn't leave my console for at least a year. I'm actually tempted to delete D2 off my hard drive as I could do with the space for upcoming games.
-
I deleted mine weeks ago... I wont even care for the next dlc I already paid.

Feel the same way. WTF happened, Bungie? Literally, D1 was in my console from launch till D2 beta. Fix this game so that I can invest into it like I did in D1.
-
1 AntwortenWhere is Destiny? In my xbox. D2? On my shelf.
-
Yeah this game sucks

1 AntwortenYeah, it must be the “casual” players fault. That’s got to be it right? Because D1 was so great that everyone would line up for TWAB to see the latest weapon nerf, super neuter, and cringe. Suros too OP? Nerf all auto rifles. Vex mythoclast too OP? Nerf all fusion rifles. Thorn too OP? Nerf all hand cannons. Clever dragon too OP? Down goes pulse rifles. No land beyond too OP? Wait, really? Oh hell, that needs a nerf too. Don’t forget the bladedancer debacle, sunsinger, debacle, and the Shoulder Charge debacle. Until all we had left we’re sticky grenades. Because D1 totally catered to only the elite players? While D2 only caters to casuals? Maybe it has more to do with the game designers themselves. Anyways, enough of this. I’m going to eat and play competitive crucible because that is fun to me.
