I decided a major in political science (focused on international relations) isn't for me. Although I have interest learning about other states, the job market for this is low and doing social work isn't exciting.
I'm switching to architecture. Don't why I didn't do this sooner since I've wanted to design my own home and projects since around 6th grade.
More years of school I guess. Going to start next fall.
Have you switched your major? Or dropped out?

Yep switched from mechanical engineering to Physical Education and changed schools.

2 Antwortenyoure going from political "science" to a math heavy field of study? lmao

1 AntwortenDropped out because I chose to study neuropsychology and biological anthropology in California, realized the probability of finding a job was incredibly low, also ran out of money since I supported myself. Had two kids so I no longer have the time. Currently work as an internet Sales manager for a dodge dealer making 80k+ a year.

My plan is too get my chemical engineering degree and then go into law school. Then eventually start my own Intelectual property firm. But that at least 15 years and a good $500,000 away

Only major I’ve got is a major malfunction.

I'm going to clown school next week, wish my luck.

Don't get stuck doing something you hate for another 40 years. Just find out what you want to do then roll with it. No point in being miserable forever.

3 AntwortenWent for architecture. Dropped out after a year and a half.

I started with Criminal Justice last year. Deep down I knew it wasn't for me, and so I ended up switching to Computer Science. I'm enjoying it far more, and I think such skills will prove to be more useful in the future.

Bearbeitet von The Cellar Door: 1/7/2018 6:21:13 AMI didn’t switch, but I recently enrolled in an Applied Math major in addition my Physics major. It was sort of like a no-brainer, because of how similar the programs are and me already haven taken a couple non-necessary upper level math courses, I really only have to take a two extra classes that I wanted to take anyways and I get two degrees. Also, having an applied math major widens my opportunities for grad school. Getting into a doctorate program for theoretical physics isn’t exactly the easiest thing to accomplish, so my back up plan is to get a Masters in applied math which will get me into a doctorate program much easier. And, in the unfortunate case I can do neither, having two degrees in Physics and Applied Math will open doors for various job opportunities that I can pursue while reassessing and making a new plan to get myself a Physics PhD. So it was a strategic move.

Last semester was my first semester. Currently majoring in mechanical engineering and I don't plan on changing it.

Cool, I’m probably going to go into that field if I can
