I cannot wait until Activision and EA are strong-armed into abandoning the RNG lootbox for good. But I do have several concerns if this happens.
1. Developers still need to make money and with this out of the picture, it allows for more Destiny type business practices i.e., make a game that is designed to make everyone feel like a badass, release minimal content with recycled updates+ sell you back the full game as DLC
2. Loopholes such as letting you buy items straight up (not gambling) that are not pay to win, but still strong incentives to buy. (I hope they can address this and have the foresight to come up with a solution)
Thoughts?
Edit: I see a lot of posts against the idea of removing RNG Lootboxes or Eververse.. What do you gain as a consumer with these things in play? Please explain.
