Ok, so I am starting to really dislike like smith after his latest interview about Destiny 2. Is bungie's new purpose to just shaft everyone loyal and passionate to destiny? Do they only support the whiny PvP noobs that get them more money? I don't think I've ever been this angry/passionate about destiny before.
Just, watch this......

Answer to the title of your post is yes.

5 AntwortenDid Luke Smith, the must honest person at Bungie, hurt your feelings because he's getting rid of garbage, lacklustre, and shit story? I'm sick of seeing these butt hurt posts
-
Lmao who cares, they're removing a garbage part of the story by doing so, and it's not like anyone cared about the stranger until this interview was made
-
Patience, and time....
-
We haven't seen the eco stranger in almost 3 years. Why do you care so much?
-
He literally said nothing offensive
-
You should play another game then.
-
Recall that Destiny's story is a hack job. It may be that, along with other apparent elements of D2, they want to make amends and make what Destiny should have been.
-
Yes, yes he is.

9 AntwortenWell, we don't know what's coming down the line. Obviously right now they want to focus on Ghaul and the Cabal. They're just saying that they want to play this arc out. I'm a huge fan of the lore. It's not great, I admit, but I'd rather they work through coherent story arcs instead of playing around outside of it. They can always return to the Exo stranger. Look at how they did Rise of Iron.

I wonder if it has anything to do with how the story was scrapped at the last minute and they slapped together what we know as Destinys story just before launch. That being said maybe they just wanted to approach it as a sort of introduction to the universe and after making it, in retrospect, decided what they really wanted to focus on from here out. Or maybe they just flat out didn't like where some of those story arcs were going and felt they couldn't make it more fleshed out and sort of took a side road off the main story arc and made that the main one. This is all speculation because I don't know the conversations taking place behind closed doors. I can only assume this.

11 AntwortenHe's not stupid he's just trolling all you wackos who take this game way too seriously. I can see complaining about weapon balancing or special ammo restrictions, but Lore.....come on.....
-
4 AntwortenExo Stranger was the most interesting female character in the game. The crazy part about it - She can fit into any new story and any DLC they can create. Because her story is open and not fully complete. She could be Cayde's long lost sister fro crying out loud. CRAZY ! ! ! ! I think Bungie & Smith is pulling our strings. She has an Arc that is way beyond completed. Her Arc is 5% completed.

4 AntwortenBearbeitet von SnakePayne86: 6/15/2017 8:56:01 PMAm I the only one that doesn't find the Exo Stranger that interesting? I guess if they tied her back to the ishtar collective and all that but Smith didn't necessarily rule all that out. They just might be keeping it secret. Seriously though, they're just making up the lore as they go, they already admitted it.
-
2 AntwortenDoes anyone actually think the devs read the lore? That shit was pieced together by a redditor hired by Bungie a month before Destiny's release to make up for having no story. Why do you think each "expansion" kept creating a new "story" with even more lore and questions, without explaining what we were already given?
-
Haven't you been paying attention the last 3 years?
-
Is waffle really that angry at Luke Smith?
-
3 AntwortenI think it's stupid that he thinks of destiny 1 as an issue 0 of a comic book...Youre just gonna ignore the 3 years of story in it..?
-
-
1 AntwortenHonestly, I think if you want to play an exo , you should start off as a human and have a mission and cinematics dedicated to the transformation.
-
I get that in space opera you gotta expect hack writing which is part of the charm, but with the Stranger it was just cringe-inducing embarrassing. Good riddance.
-
I remember Bungie in an interview stating that their greatest accomplishment was continuing the story of Destiny, and yet here they are completely destroying what they built up.
Amazing, best developers of the year at being.....

Poop nuggets
I rather call him lunk sniff.
-
Yes, yes he is

Watched, listened to it. What I find more shocking is: 1) he was put back in charge of Destiny development. 2) many of you are actually surprised that Luke comes off as a arrogant sob. No offense to his mother intended. 3) He is such an ass that he can't even wait until the game release to show his true colours, which he beautifully revealed in this interview. Nothing has changed, once again they have pursued their own agenda, following the same formula because of us. That model WORKED FOR THEM. If we will eat that mess they served in D1 why would they really change anything they are doing in D2.
